Abstract

La présente divulgation porte sur un toit roulant amélioré qui convient à divers types de conteneurs à toit ouvert. Le toit roulant sert à couvrir les conteneurs à toit ouvert avec des charges sèches et il peut être scellé afin de couvrir les conteneurs avec des charges liquides. Le toit roulant peut être commandé manuellement au moyen dune poignée à cliquetis reliée à deux mécanismes de roulage disposés à chaque côté du toit. Le mécanisme de toit roulant peut être configuré de manière à faire glisser le toit à gauche ou à droite du conteneur, et à le faire tourner dune position horizontale jusquà une position verticale le long du mur latéral. Il est ainsi possible de remplir le conteneur depuis nimporte quel côté en utilisant louverture entière. Cette nouvelle méthode peut exiger un minimum de force physique, elle élimine le besoin dutiliser un système de levage à câble ou à treuil et elle peut être plus sécuritaire, ce qui est avantageux pour divers types de conteneurs à toit ouvert.
