Abstract

La présente invention concerne des baguettes de papier de cloison sèche, en particulier des baguettes de papier de cloison sèche destinées à protéger des surfaces de cloison sèche exposées qui possèdent des contours de surface non plans dans une région de bord adjacente aux bords de cloison sèche. La baguette de papier comprend une âme allongée qui comporte une surface intérieure et une surface extérieure, une bande de papier allongée qui possède une surface intérieure et une surface extérieure, une épaisseur de 6 à 7 mils, un poids de 110 à 125 grammes/mètre carré (gsm) et une porosité de 30 à 130 Gurley sec. La surface intérieure de la bande de papier est rugueuse et liée à la surface extérieure du noyau. La partie extérieure de lépaisseur de la bande de papier est imprégnée dun composé de renforcement, de préférence dun composé de renforcement de polymère, mieux encore dun composé de renforcement en latex de quantité de 3,5 % à 13 % du poids total de la bande de papier. La largeur de la bande de papier est supérieure à la largeur de lâme de telle sorte quau moins un bord de la bande de papier sétende latéralement au-delà du bord de lâme pour former une aile sur au moins un bord de la baguette de papier. Laile de la bande de papier de la baguette de papier suit le contour de surface non plan de la cloison sèche dans la région de bord adjacente au bord de cloison sèche.
