Abstract

Dans un système de couteau de faucille comportant une pluralité de doigts protecteurs à des positions espacées sur une barre de couteau qui traverse un couteau de faucille alternatif, chaque doigt protecteur comporte une portion de pointe se projetant vers lavant à lavant dune surface de bord et une portion de tenon se projetant vers larrière à une extrémité arrière de la portion de pointe et sen prolongeant sur une surface de bord vers un bord arrière de la portion de tenon situé sur la lame. La surface inférieure de la portion de tenon comprend une première portion adjacente à la portion de pointe qui est généralement parallèle à la surface de bord et une deuxième portion adjacente au bord arrière qui est incliné à un angle séloignant de la surface de bord. La largeur de la portion de tenon sur larrière de la portion de tenon est égale ou supérieure à 1,5 po.
