Abstract

L'invention concerne un système permettant de commander de manière variable le cycle de vidange d'un état de pré-filtration de dessiccateur d'air d'un système d'alimentation en air (10) d'une locomotive. Un capteur (28) dans l'admission d'air du dessiccateur d'air (16) fournit des informations de température à un dispositif de commande, qui calcule une durée de cycle de vidange appropriée sur la base de la pression partielle de saturation de vapeur d'eau à la température réelle de l'air entrant dans le dessiccateur d'air et qui actionne le robinet de vidange (24) selon la durée de cycle de vidange particulière.
