Abstract

Une méthode améliore la résistance à la décoloration d’un contenant en polyéthylène rotomoulé qui a été mis en contact avec de l’acide sulfurique. La méthode comprend les étapes suivantes : 1) la fourniture d’une composition stabilisée de copolymère d’éthylène, qui contient un paquet d’additif, lequel comprend un antioxydant primaire de phénol freiné, un antioxydant primaire d’hydroxylamine, un antioxydant secondaire de phosphite et un stabilisateur de lumière aminé freiné; 2) la soumission de la composition stabilisée de copolymère d’éthylène à des conditions de rotomoulage pour produire un contenant en polyéthylène rotomoulé; 3) la mise en contact dudit contenant en polyéthylène rotomoulé avec un acide sulfurique pour produire un contenant traité à l’acide.
