Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'extraction de furfural comprenant : (a) soumettre une composition comprenant du furfural, de l'eau, au moins un acide inorganique, au moins un acide organique et un mélange de solvants comprenant un solvant aromatique et un solvant oxygéné, à une première étape de séparation fournissant : (i) une première phase organique ; (b) soumettre la première phase organique à une première étape de distillation fournissant : (i) un premier flux supérieur comprenant du furfural et une partie dudit au moins un acide organique ; (c) soumettre le premier flux supérieur de l'étape (b) à une seconde étape de séparation fournissant : (i) un second flux supérieur enrichi en furfural ; (d) soumettre le second flux supérieur de l'étape (c) à une seconde étape de distillation fournissant : (i) un troisième flux supérieur comprenant un azéotrope de furfural-eau, et (ii) un troisième flux inférieur comprenant du furfural.
