La composition conférant une sensation de fraîcheur de la présente invention contient un dérivé de méthylmenthol représenté par la formule générale (1). [Dans la formule (1), le symbole * indique un atome de carbone asymétrique, X représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un substituant et Y représente un groupe aryle en C6-20 éventuellement substitué.]
