Abstract

La présente invention concerne un boîtier situé au moins partiellement sous une plate-forme d'appui d'une suspente en T inversé ou d'un autre support de carreaux de plafond. Une colonne partant de la plate-forme d'appui s'étend vers le haut. Le boîtier comprend une ouverture présentant une ligne centrale qui s'étend au moins en partie latéralement. Une source de lumière telle qu'une DEL dans un évidement du boîtier rayonne hors de l'ouverture le long de la ligne centrale dans une direction au moins partiellement latérale. De préférence, un diffuseur recouvre ladite ouverture. Le boîtier comprend préférentiellement une paroi avant opposée à une paroi arrière plus grande que la paroi avant, l'ouverture dans le boîtier s'étendant entre des parties inférieures des parois arrière et avant. Des ailettes de transfert de chaleur sur une surface supérieure de la plate-forme d'appui et une extrémité supérieure de la colonne sont de préférence prévues de façon à contribuer à la dissipation thermique.
