Abstract

La présente invention porte sur une méthode permettant la passivation de la surface de fer noir ou de fer blanc par électrodéposition dune couche de passivation contenant de loxyde de chrome sur la surface, dans laquelle lélectrodéposition de la couche de passivation contenant de loxyde de chrome se produit à partir dune solution électrolytique (E) qui contient un composé de chrome trivalent ainsi quau moins un sel pour accroître la conductivité et au moins un acide ou une base pour amener le pH à une valeur souhaitée, dans laquelle la solution électrolytique (E) ne contient aucun autre élément que le composé de chrome trivalent ainsi quau moins un sel et au moins un acide ou une base, et elle est en particulier libre dagents complexants organiques et libre dagents tampons.
