Abstract

Il est décrit un trimaran comprenant une structure à redressement automatique positionnée à proximité de la poupe qui élève sensiblement le centre de flottabilité. Les deux coques périphériques du trimaran sont plus courtes que la coque principale et positionnées près de l’extrémité afin de créer un environnement retourné instable. Lorsqu’elle est retournée, l’embarcation repose principalement sur la structure à redressement automatique et une extrémité de la coque principale, soulevant sensiblement le centre de gravité et créant une configuration instable. Ceci provoque un tangage ou un roulis autour de l’axe longitudinal de l’embarcation, qui persiste jusqu’à ce que l’embarcation soit ramenée à sa position verticale plus stable reposant sur trois coques.
