Abstract
La présente invention concerne un mécanisme de boîte de vitesses amélioré, le mécanisme comprenant une pluralité d'ensembles bloc d'engrenages actionnés par came, destinés à transférer de l'énergie d'un arbre de commande à un élément engrenage secondaire ou de sortie. Chaque ensemble bloc d'engrenages comprend un bloc d'engrenages comportant une surface s'interfaçant périodiquement avec un élément engrenage secondaire ou de sortie. Selon un mode de réalisation préféré, la surface d'interface comprend une pluralité de saillies ou de dents correspondant à des saillies ou des dents d'engrenage complémentaires sur l'élément engrenage de sortie. Chaque ensemble bloc d'engrenages comprend en outre un bloc d'engrenages, un bras de levier de couple, des galets de came et/ou une douille, destinés à relier le bloc d'engrenages à un ensemble came, lequel est relié à son tour à une source d'alimentation. L'ensemble came comprend, autour de sa circonférence, une voie ou une rainure unique pour chaque ensemble de liaison d'un ensemble bloc d'engrenages particulier, de sorte que le mouvement du bloc d'engrenages puisse être commandé dans deux dimensions conformément à un certain paramètre de conception.
