Abstract

Cette invention concerne un matériau en acier inoxydable duplex ayant une résistance élevée, une excellente résistance à la corrosion par piqûres et une excellente aptitude au formage à chaud. Un matériau d'acier inoxydable duplex selon la présente invention a une composition chimique qui contient, en termes de % en masse : au plus 0,030 % de C, 0,20 à 1,00 % de Si, 0,50 à 7,00 % de Mn, au plus 0,040 % de P, au plus 0,0100 % de S, au plus 0,100 % d'Al, 4,20 à 9,00 % de Ni, 20,00-28,00 % de Cr, 0,50 à 2,00 % de Mo, 1,90-4,00 % de Cu, 0,150 à 0,350 % de N, 0,01 à 1,50 % de V, et un ou plusieurs types choisis dans le groupe constitué de : 0,0001 à 0,0200 % de Ca et 0,0001 à 0,0200 % de Mg, le reste étant du Fe et des impuretés. Le matériau selon l'invention satisfait les formules (1) et (2) indiquées dans la description. Le matériau en acier inoxydable duplex a en outre une microstructure comprenant 35,0 à moins de 50,0 % en volume de ferrite, le reste étant de l'austénite, et a une limite d'élasticité de 550 MPa ou plus.
