L'invention concerne un système (1) de torréfaction de matériau particulaire (P), tel que des grains de café ou de cacao, des céréales, du malt, ledit système comprenant : une unité photovoltaïque (100) conçue pour générer de l'électricité à partir du rayonnement solaire ; un dispositif de stockage de chaleur (200) comprenant au moins un matériau à changement de phase (201, 202, 203) ; un dispositif de torréfaction (300) conçu pour torréfier ledit matériau particulaire ; un circuit thermique (400) reliant le dispositif de stockage de chaleur (200) au dispositif de torréfaction (300), et étant conçu pour faire circuler un fluide (Fl) dans le dispositif de torréfaction (300) ; et un circuit électrique (500) reliant l'unité photovoltaïque (100) au dispositif de stockage de chaleur (200), et étant conçu pour échanger de la chaleur avec ledit matériau à changement de phase (201, 202, 203).
