Abstract

Linvention concerne un appareil de séparation visant à séparer un approvisionnement de déchets à haut niveau de radioactivité (HLW), où le déchet nucléaire à haut niveau est séparé en une partie de masse élevée et en un partie de faible masse. La partie de masse élevée et la partie de faible masse des déchets à haut niveau de radioactivité ont des masses atomiques dépassant et étant inférieures à un point limite de masse atomique de lappareil de séparation. Lappareil de séparation comprend deux torches ICP montées respectivement à un boîtier de lappareil ou au sein du boîtier de lappareil. Le boîtier de lappareil définit une chambre de séparation cylindrique et comprend deux éléments magnétiques générant un champ magnétique le long de la longueur de la chambre de séparation et une pluralité délectrodes avec anneau concentrique générant un champ électrique perpendiculaire au champ magnétique et traversant ce dernier. Lapprovisionnement de déchets à haut niveau de radioactivité est assujetti à un processus de séparation de masse à lintérieur de la chambre de séparation à laide de lensemble de champ électrique et de champ magnétique croisés.
