Abstract

Procédé de fabrication de feuille de mousse multicouche à partir de sources de polyester recyclées, qui peut être utilisée pour des applications d'emballage. Le procédé comprend un système de co-extrusion comprenant au moins deux extrudeuses à vis unique. Une matière première de polyester à faible viscosité intrinsèque comprenant jusqu'à 100 % de flocons de polyester en provenance de sources recyclées présentant une viscosité intrinsèque (VI) inférieure à 0,8 dL/g telle que mesurée par la norme ASTM D4603-18 est directement introduite dans les extrudeuses. Un agent d'expansion physique supercritique est introduit dans la matière première de polyester fondue dans au moins l'une des extrudeuses, la température de traitement s'inscrivant dans la plage allant d'une valeur 15 % inférieure à la température de fusion jusqu'à une valeur 15 % supérieure à la température de fusion. Ensuite, la coextrusion de la matière première en provenance des extrudeuses du système de co-extrusion par l'intermédiaire d'une filière plate d'extrusion de feuilles pour fabriquer une feuille de mousse multicouche, au moins une couche étant une couche de mousse comprenant un polyester à faible viscosité intrinsèque.
