Abstract

Selon l'invention, un fluide ferromagnétique peut être utilisé pour fournir une barrière temporaire dans un puits de forage. Un sous-ensemble magnétique peut générer un champ électromagnétique à l'intérieur du puits de forage. Le fluide ferromagnétique est retenu à un emplacement souhaité à l'intérieur du puits de forage par le champ électromagnétique. Des particules ferromagnétiques dans le fluide peuvent s'agglutiner ou se déposer pour former la barrière temporaire. Un fluide d'isolation zonale tel qu'un fluide métallique, une composition de ciment ou une composition de résine durcissable peut être introduit(e) sur le dessus de la barrière temporaire. Le fluide d'isolation zonale peut se solidifier pour former une barrière permanente ou semi-permanente pour fournir une isolation zonale de différentes zones de la formation souterraine.
