Abstract

The design is characterised by the shape and configuration of the hand-held compass unit, which displays a boat-like shaped elongated body having a contiguous lower portion and upper portion. The body is generally oval in top plan view with its rear end elongated laterally and cut off at a straight transom. The lower portion displays a circular compass member. The upper portion displays a generally rectangular recess with rounded corners in its central part and a circular bulbous portion in its front part.
