Description

  

  Verfahren zur Verhütung von     Kesselsteinansatz    in     Dampfhesseln,        Verdampfapparaten,          Vorwärmern    und dergleichen.    <B>-4</B>    Es ist bekannt, zur Verhinderung des     An-          setzens    von festem Kesselstein und zur Ver  hütung von     Anfressungen    der     Kesselblee'he     und Rohre Gleichstrom mässiger Spannung in  der Weise anzuwenden,     dass    der negative Pol  der Stromquelle mit dem Kesselkörper ver  bunden, während der positive Pol zu einer  Elektrode geführt wird,

   die entweder inner  halb des Kessels im Wasserraum oder ausser  halb des Kessels im Speisewasserbehälter  angeordnet sein kann; im ersten Falle erfolgt  dann der     Stromschluss    durch das Wasser, im  zweiten Falle dagegen zum Teil auch durch  die Speiseleitung in beiden Fällen aber  wird die aus Eisen hergestellte positive Elek  trode entsprechend dem Stromdurchgang ver  braucht und     muss    von Zeit zu Zeit erneuert  -werden.  



  Das neue Verfahren besteht nun darin, auf  die Anwendung des fliessenden elektrischen  Stromes überhaupt zu verzichten und den<B>zu</B>  schützenden Behälter     (Dampikessel,    Ver  dampfer     usw.)    an einer oder mehreren Stel  len mit dem negativen Pol einer isoliert auf-         gestellt-en        Gleichstromquelle    von normaler  Spannung, z. B. einer Gleichstrommaschine,  zu verbinden, währenddem der positive Pol  derselben freigelassen wird.

   Dabei findet zum  Unterschied von den bekannten Verfahren  weder ein Verbrauch elektrischer Energie  (abgesehen von der     Leerlaufarbeit    der Strom  quelle), noch ein Verbrauch von<B>Ei</B>     lektroden     statt, so     dass    sieh die Betriebskosten auf das  denkbar geringste Mass erniedrigen und eben  so auch die Wartung sehr vereinfacht -wird,  weil die Beobachtung und Regelung der  Stromstärke und die Erneuerung der Elek  troden entfällt.  



  In Gleichstromanlagen (z. B. elektrischen  Bahnanlagen oder dergleichen), in denen die  Erde ganz oder teilweise zur Rückleitung des  Stromes nutzbar gemacht wird, kann der zu  schützende Kessel oder     dergleicheü    an die  von der     Samme.Ischiene    zur Erde führende       Rüekleitung    angeschlossen werden.  



  Durch diese Anordnung wird die Auf  stellung einer besonderen     Gleichstromquelle     entbehrlich gemacht und die Wirkung des      Verfahrens ohne Entstehung     irgendweleller     Betriebskosten erreicht.  



  Selbstverständlich können in allen Fällen  Kontrolleitungen mit     Mess-    oder Signalvor  richtungen zwischen     den    positiven Pol der  Gleichstromquelle und die Erde geschaltet  werden, die     lediglieli    anzuzeigen haben, ob  die Verbindung zwischen dem negativen Pol  und Kessel in     Ordnun-    ist.
