Agrafe.
Au dessin annexé, donné à titre d'exemple: La fig.l représente en plan l'ébauche d'un exemple de tête d'agrafe et La fig. 2 en vue en élévation cet exemple de tête d'agrafe lequel peut servir dans une agrafe pour ligatures de sacs, paquets ou autres envois postaux; La fig. 3 est une vue de côté; partie en coupe d'une forme d'exécution d'un outil pour l'application de l'agrafe; Les fig. 4 et 5 montrent, en plan et en élé vation de côté, un exemple de plaque en forme de rondelle annulaire; La fig. 6 représente la tête de l'agrafe en position sur la rondelle sur le point de pénétration de ses crampons dans celle-ci;
Clip. The present invention relates to a clip used for joining several parts to be assembled.
This clip includes deus clamping elements of the parts to be assembled, to. namely a bottom plate of penetrable material and a head with studs intended to be driven into the base plate and to be bent; with the aid of a guide, in the very mass of the latter so as to be anchored therein and to be submerged therein protected from any attempt at recovery without destroying the base plate. In this way, any fraudulent attempt to disengage the clip is immediately detected; because it is necessary for this purpose to destroy the plate and such destruction constitutes a certain indication of violation of the clip.
For more security; a colored paper covering can be applied to the outer face of the base plate; in painting, enamel etc., to imitate a seal.
In the accompanying drawing, given by way of example: FIG. 1 shows in plan the blank of an example of a clip head and FIG. 2 in elevation view this example of a staple head which can be used in a staple for ligatures of bags, packages or other postal items; Fig. 3 is a side view; sectional part of an embodiment of a tool for applying the clip; Figs. 4 and 5 show, in plan and in side elevation, an example of a plate in the form of an annular washer; Fig. 6 shows the head of the clip in position on the washer on the point of penetration of its studs therein;
Fig. 7 is a corresponding side view thereof; Fig. 8 watch; in section, on a larger scale, the clip in the fixed state.
The head has the clip shown, formed of a. blank shown in fig. 1 in the form of a sheet of metal sheet cut with pointed lateral projections b, present in the state of use (fig, 2) of the studs b formed by folding these projections and which are unevenly distributed around the periphery of the head of the clip, in order to determine between the crampons two diametrical passages for the introduction of a ligature that is to be sealed, perpendicular to each other and one of which is wider than the other.
The head of the clip is provided with lateral retiforcenient segments c provided with serrations d between the studs for gripping the ligature.
This head rt is used in combination with a washer ni of penetrable material, formed for example by a leather plate, forming the aforementioned bottom plate, in which the studs b of the head a can penetrate, while being curved in the very mass of the washer will go, the latter being in its lower portion hard enough to force the studs b to bend. The head a and the washer m form the constituent parts of the ligature clip.
A tool for fixing the clip is shown in fig. 3. It has a mouth e, the lower jaw of which is provided with a part f forming an anvil and having an annular groove g, with an inclined bottom, all around a cylindrical centering projection h. to receive the washer m fitting, by its central opening, on this centering projection which thus determines the exact position of the washer.
The upper jaw of the mouth e carries the spring-loaded plug i, vant v slide vertically against its spring and having at its lower end notches j serving for passage of the ligature. The spring-loaded plug i is intended to receive the head a of the clip with its crampons directed downwards, the notches j serving as marks for correctly placing the head a in the plug i, so that the </ B> ligature fits well between the crampons of the head.
The bushel i contains a punch. k articulated on an inoperative lever and connected through the intermediary of titles leaves the valve i.
By pressing the aforementioned lever, after having placed the washer nor on the anvil f of the lower jaw of the mouth e and after having introduced the head a into the wood bucket i, the punch k goes down and first drives the bushel i fitted with the bridgehead - bring the latter, by its crampons, into engagement with the washer iii (fig. 7), the ligature to be sealed having of course previously passed between the clamping elements of the clip, then,
the bushel resting on the edge of the washer m, the punch k continues to lower itself to force the studs b, with the help of the inclined bottom of the gutter forming a guide for the studs and support for the washer, whose lower portion exhibits some down (-, <4 curl into the mass of the washer itself at approximately right angles to their initial position of penetration,
as seen in fig. 8, and to anchor in this puck, while being submerged therein safe from any fraudulent attempt at recovery without destroying the puck. In this way, the ligature is tightly clamped between elements a and w and to straighten the crampons, it will be necessary to destroy the base lg-ment in.
As seen in fig. 8, the b studs of the a. head enter the bottom washer in through the upper face of the latter, but nothing prevents them from entering as well by the peripheral edge of the washer.
