      3Zessband.       Im Hauptpatent ist ein     Messband    darge  legt, dessen Eigenart darin     liegt,    dass es keine  Querfäden, sondern nur Längsfäden hat, wel  che in eine     zähelastische    Klebemasse     cinge-          bettet    sind.  



  Gegenstand der vorliegenden zusätzlichen  Erfindung ist nun ein     Messband    dieser Art,  das, indem es lediglich in den     Längsrand-          teilen    Längsfäden     ,aufweist,    in der Haupt  sache ,aus der     zähelastischen        Einbettungs-          m.asse    besteht.  



  Auf diese Weise     lä        sst    sich der Aufwand  an Längsfäden auf ein Mindestmass be  schränken.  



  Die beiliegende Zeichnung zeigt schau  bildlich eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform  des     Messba.ndes    gemäss der zusätzlichen Er  findung.  



  Es bezeichnet 1 ein Band aus     zähelasti-          seher    Klebemasse, z. B. aus Zelluloid oder       Kautschuk,    auf welches die Skala aufge  druckt ist. In den beiden     Längsrandteilen       des aus dieser Masse bestehenden Bandes be  findet sich je ein Längsfaden 2 eingebettet.  Die beiden Längsfäden können zum Beispiel  durch     Baumwoll-    oder Leinen- oder Metall  fäden     ,gebildet    sein. Diese Längsfäden ver  leihen dem     Messband        1I.alt    in der Längsrich  tung und dadurch Schutz gegen Längsaus  dehnung.

   Ferner erhöhen die Längsfäden die  Widerstandsfähigkeit des     Messbandes    gegen  Zerreissen, ohne dessen Geschmeidigkeit     zii     beeinträchtigen.
