Description

Process for manufacturing fuel agglomerates. The object of the invention is a process for the manufacture of combustible agglomerates, such as briquettes or balls, according to which carbonaceous material dust, such as for example coal dust or lignite, is mixed with: starchy materials , lime and a small amount of a sulfate inhibitor, and naphthalin. As starchy materials, there may be employed, for example, cassava, potato waste, rice or rice waste, or materials from rice or other similar products.

As sulfate, or will preferably use copper or zinc sulfate.

Starchy matter and lime, hydraulic or otherwise, are intended to ensure sufficient agglomeration, allowing transport without crumbling and combustion without premature disintegration, while mothball aids combustion, improves binding and still cooperates in making the ground unfit for the spread of mold.

By way of example of embodiment of the present process, the following proportions may be mentioned, which may naturally vary depending on the nature and the concentration of the products used Coal dust 91 to 93% Other products 7 to <B> 90 /, </B> distributed approximately as follows per 100 parts

<tb> Sulfate <SEP>. <SEP>. <SEP>. <SEP>. <SEP>. <SEP>. <SEP>. <SEP> 10%

<SEP> 1% If, for example, briquettes, balls or other agglomerates are intended to be transported by boat at relatively considerable distances and, consequently, they are liable to remain for a long enough time in spandrels where they are exposed at humidity without ventilation, the sulphate quantities will be somewhat increased.
