Description
Elektromotorisch unmittelbar angetriebene raschlaufende Arbeitsmaschine. Bekanntlich ist der Leistung eines Elektromotors durch seine Erwärmung eine Grenze gesetzt; wenn der Motor künstlich gekühlt wird, lässt sich zur Abgabe einer bestimmten Leistung daher eine kleinere Motortype verwenden, als wenn er ungekühlt bleibt.
Wird nun eine raschlaufende Arbeits maschine unmittelbar, das heisst ohne Vor gelege, von einem Elektromotor angetrieben, so ist es bei gewissen Arbeitsmaschinen, die mit rasch umlaufenden Trommeln oder der gleichen ausgerüstet sind, zum Beispiel bei Zentrifugen, zur Ermöglichung der Ver wendung einer kleineren Motortype erfin dungsgemäss nicht nötig, einen besonderen, mit Kühlvorrichtungen versehenen Motor zu verwenden, sondern die den Kühlluftstrom erzeugenden Ventilatorflügel können an einem umlaufenden Teil der Arbeitsmaschine an gebracht werden.
In der Zeichnung ist als Ausführungs beispiel für die Erfindung eine elektrisch angetriebene Zentrifuge mit stehender Welle f dargestellt. Der Läufer i des Elektro motors ist fliegend auf die Welle f auf gesetzt, auf deren oberem Ende die Zentri- fugentrommel c sitzt. Sein Ständer k ist unmittelbar im Fuss a der Zentrifuge be festigt, der also zugleich das Gehäuse des Motors bildet. Am Aussenumfang der Trom mel c sind die Ventilatorflügel p angeordnet, die je nach ihrer Form einen Fliehkraft- oder einen Schraubenventilator darstellen und die Kühlluft für den Motor etwa in Rich tung der eingezeichneten Pfeile fördern.
Die Luft tritt demnach durch Öffnungen q in den Fuss der Zentrifuge ein, wird durch ein Führungsblech o mit zentraler Öffnung zum Läufer i des Motors geleitet, durchströmt dann zum Teil seinen Luftspalt, zum gröss ten Teil jedoch die Zwischenräume zwischen dem Ständereisen<I>k,</I> der Wand der Fusses<I>a</I> und den daran angegossenen Führungsrippen mi, bespült die von Rippen c des Fusses a gehaltenen Lager g, h, kühlt darauf die aus lederbewehrtem Stahlband bestehende Bremse r der Trommel c und gelangt durch die Flü gel p und den Ringraum zwischen Trommel c und Mantel b der Zentrifuge hindurch schliess lich ins Freie.
Von grossem Vorteil ist da bei die Kühlung der Bremse, die bei Zentri fugen meist ständig in Benutzung steht und daher durch kräftige Kühlung geschont wird. Dieselbe ist deshalb oberhalb des Motors an geordnet und die Bremsscheibe s in ein facher Weise unmittelbar an den Zentrifugen boden angegossen. Vorteilhaft ist auch die Anordnung der Ventilatorflügel auf einem -rösseren Durchmesser" als der Läufer i des Motors ihn aufweist, weil dadurch ein viel kräftigerer Kühlluftstrom hervorgebracht werden kann und an Ventilatorteilen gespart wird.

The cooling of the brake, which is usually constantly in use with centrifuges and is therefore protected by powerful cooling, is a great advantage.
