Description
Electric motor directly assembled with a vertical axis machine. Rapidly running vertical-axis work machines have already been assembled with their drive electric motor in such a way that the latter was carried out as a normal vertical motor, connected to the work machine by a coupling and housed inside the appropriately designed foot of the same.
If it is a question of working machines that are produced in large numbers of the same size in rows, such as mills, centrifuges, special fans, centrifugal pumps, etc., the drive motor can be considerably simplified and made cheaper according to the invention by using the active stator iron of the motor installs directly into stationary parts of the machine that are concentric to the axis without any special housing.
As an embodiment for the inven tion, a centrifuge drive is shown in the drawing. The stationary shell b of the centrifuge stands on the foot a, which in turn carries the concentric bearing body d by means of cast-on ribs e. The shaft f is supported on two bearing points g and h, which ensures good centering of the electric motor rotor i, and carries the centrifuge drum c at its upper end,
below the squirrel-cage rotor i of the three-phase drive motor. Whose stand k is inserted directly into the concentrically twisted guide ribs m of the foot a, which are also formed from as otherwise in the cast housing of normal motors. The stator body k is secured in its position by adjusting screws n (or other easily detachable machine elements).
The rotor body i can be fastened sufficiently securely by simply pressing it onto the shaft f or it can be protected from slipping by a special shaft nut. Below the engine is. the protective and air guide plate o is still attached.
With larger centrifuges etc. the foot can be divided in the vertical direction. Instead of arranging the rotor of the electric motor flying; a bearing can be attached underneath it on a support ring which is screwed and centered on the foot a.
In the case of other work machines, there are probably slightly different designs, but the idea of the invention can always be implemented when concentric supporting structures are present, regardless of the type of current for which the electric motor is intended.
