Induction coil for TSF The object of the invention is an induction coil for TSF It is known that to tune a wave collector, one often uses three induction coils of short axial length, flat. in the vicinity of each other: a primary coil, a secondary coil, a reaction coil. Each of these coils comprises a winding which forms a single section and the ends of which are connected to, two plugs serving, on the one hand, for the supply and departure of the current, on the other part, means for the removable attachment of the coil to a support.
The supports of the three coils are movable with respect to each other and make it possible to achieve a more or less tight magnetic coupling (these three coils. Depending on the length of the waves for which it is necessary to tune the collector, it is necessary to make vary the induction of the primary and secondary coils at least. But as the winding of each of them is not divided into sections, it is necessary to replace them by other coils. it is necessary to have a whole set of coils for the: various wavelengths, which is bulky, inconvenient and expensive.
In other cases, primary and secondary coils are used, the windings of which are divided into sections, one of the ends of which is connected to a separate external socket for each of the sections, but the socket used must be put in each time. bare hand circuit with a conductor so that the various desired values of induction are obtained.
These drawbacks are avoided in the coil according to the invention, which comprises at least one winding divided into sections, one of the ends of which is connected to a socket. separate exterior for .each of the sections, thanks to the .m-oins a rotary conta.et device which can be successively brought into contact with the various sockets and allows both by its; the only way to vary the values of the induction without having to change coils or external connections by hand.
Ire - accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of the coil. .
Figs. 1 and 2 are sections of a first embodiment along lines A-A of FIG. 2 and B-73 of fig. 1; Figs. 3 and 4 are sections of the second embodiment along lines C-C of FIG. 4 and D-D of fig. 3.
The first embodiment (fig. 1 and 2) comprises a body abc made of insulating material consisting of two annular outer a and inner b, parts as well as : cheeks c. These three parts delimit an annular space having a relatively small axial width, as well as a relatively large radial length and enclosing a single windings, constituting, for example, the primary coil referred to in the introduction.
The winding d is permanently connected at one of its ends to a terminal e secured to the exterior of the part a; it is divided into several sections arranged in series and one end of which is connected by an insulated wire f y h i or j to a contact kl < / I> ni n or separate o for each section, housed in room b; these contacts constitute the catches mentioned in the introduction.
The part b is secured to a plate h carrying a rotary axis q, provided with a head r and a sleeve s presenting laterally a barrel t where slides a piston u which comes out with a coil v applies against the inner periphery of the part b. By rotating the axis q we successively bring the piston u into engagement with the various contacts kl w rz o and then put it in relation to the various sections.
This tree is permanently connected by a conductor zv to a terminal .x fixed to the outside of the part ra on the opposite side of the terminal e.
On the axis q is fixed a flat arm y making only a slight projection on one of the faces of the body abc, but protruding the part a towards the outside and fitted outside that -Here of a manwuvre button z, thus bare of an index 2 moving opposite a graduation that it carries.
An elastic washer 3 constantly tends to apply the. head r counter ire plate p. By acting on the button z one inserts clone between the two terminals e x a more or less large part of the winding d and one consequently modifies the, self-induction of the. bo bine, without needing to replace one coil by another or to change to the. main connections when changing the wave length.
This result is also obtained without significantly increasing the size of the coil, since the contacts Il 1. lia za o, the socket s, the piston za are housed in the central free space of the coil and the arm is thin there. It is therefore possible to arrange as before the three coils next to each other so that their centers are at. variable distances on the same circle to obtain a more or less tight magnetic coupling.
In the body a - b-c of the second embodiment (fig. 3 and 4) are arranged three concentric annular windings 6, 7, S, corresponding respectively to the primary, secondary and reaction coils indicated in the introduction.
The inner winding 6 is permanently connected to one of its ends to terminal e, it is divided into several sections which are arranged in series and one end of which is connected by the insulated wire fg h i. or j at contact k l lia n or o separate for each section el-, housed in one of the halves of the part b.
The middle winding 7 is permanently connected -i. one of its ends to a terminal 9, it is divided into several sections which are connected in series and one of whose ends is connected by an insulated wire 10, 11, 12, 13 or 11 to Lin contact 15, 16, 17, 18 or 19 separate for each section and housed in the other half of the room b.
In the center of this part b is an axis 20 which is provided with an insulating sleeve 21 and on which can turn .two bushings 22, 23 each secured to a plate 24 to 25 and, of the barrel t, in the latter slides the piston u that the coil spring v applied against the inner periphery of the part b. By rotating one or the other of the bushings 22, 23, the corresponding piston u is successively brought into engagement with the di to contacts the l m no or 15, 16, 17, 18, 19.
The two plates 24, 25 connected by the axis 20 bear on the part b and serve to center this axis 20, The socket 22 is permanently connected by the conductor w to the terminal x and the socket 23 by a conductor 26 to a terminal 27 secured outside part a. . On each of the plates 24, 25 is seated thrown a flat arm y, 28 protruding only slightly on one of the sides of the body (zbc, but protruding from the part a towards the outside and provided outside thereof with a maneuvering button 29, as well as an index 2 or 30 moving opposite a graduation that this part has.
The two ends of the winding 8 are permanently connected to two terminals 31, 32 fixed to part a.
By acting on buttons 3, 29 we therefore insert between the two terminals ex or 9. 27 a more or less large part of the windings 6, 7 and consequently the selF- induction is modified. of these windings, as well as their reciprocal induction without the need to replace one coil by another during a change of wavelength.
The axial size of the coil is small and it is complete by itself, since it includes the three coils indicated in the introduction The windings, instead of being connected by one of their ends to the terminals e, 9, could be connected to each other and would form a single conductor at both ends of which sections could be added or removed by the operation of buttons z, 29. The coil could not only comprise these windings 6, 7, the winding 8 constituting a separate reaction coil.
The contacts connected to the ends .des di verses sections, instead of s-e located inside the part b, could be arranged outside the part a; in this case, the central space could contain only the pivot axis.
