Device for automatically stopping the winding at winding machines. The object of the present invention is a device for automatically stopping the winding at the winding machines, in the event of the finishing of a spool.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is a side view of the device during operation; fig. 2 is a front view of the device; fig. 3 schematically shows the position of some members of the device at the end of a winding and, FIG. 4 schematically shows the position of some organs after the breakage of a wire.
The device shown is mounted on the frame a of a winder comprising at its lower part a winding drum b, and provided at its upper part with a cross member c, supporting a thread guide c ', and animated by a back and forth movement by a cam d.
The device which is arranged on a fitting e fixed to the frame a, comprises a fork f, pivoting about an axis f of the fitting e, and integral with an arm f ". The ends free branches of the fork f carry the spool g on which the wire is wound to form the spool which rubs on a controlled pulley h, driven by a rotational movement in two fixed spans (not shown) of the frame a ..
On the fitting e is also articulated, by an axis i, a counter-bent release lever j carrying a cam k disposed below one of the branches of the fork f, while the upper end of lever j is provided with an adjustable stop screw j '. The lever j also carries a stop -stem d, located within reach of the fork branch below which the cam 1c is arranged and abutting in a groove of the arm f " of the fork f, to immobilize the latter.
At the upper end of the lever j is fixed a rod m (fig. 2) which is located in the field of a flexible rod n, one of the ends of which is provided with a barbin 7a '.
The flexible rod n has near its other end, which carries a counterweight n, several turns arranged around a horizontal axis o, fixed in a support p, integral with the fitting e, and provided at its upper part with a heel pi 'intended to limit the stroke of the end of the rod ii which carries the counterweight r.
As shown in fig. 1 the winding thread which is supplied by the skein mounted on the whine b, passes through the barbin W, then through the thread guide c ', the back and forth movement of which allows its regular distribution on the spool g, the spool in formation resting on the pulley h, which communicates its rotational movement to it.
The operation of the device described takes place as follows: During its rotation, the spool g is filled with wire and the diameter of the spool formed increases as and when the winding is carried out. When the quantity of thread envied has become sufficient, the fork f, which has risen from a height corresponding to the thickness of the spool, has brought back the end of the arm f ",
which pushes the head of the adjustment screw j 'of the release lever j. The latter has been maintained until this moment in its normal position shown in FIG. 1 by any means, for example using a stop not shown against which the lower end of said lever is applied. As a result of the thrust and by its own weight, the lever j swings until it reaches the position shown in phantom in fig. 3. In this position, it rests on any stop not shown.
During this rocking movement, the cam le raises the fork f, which is immobilized in the raised position of the diagram in fig. 3 by the stop rod d, which comes to rest in the groove of the arm f ". At this time, the coil no longer rubbing with the pulley h, and consequently, no longer being driven by the latter, the envidage is stopped.
After replacing the spool g, a new winding operation can take place by bringing forward the clutch lever j which allows the spool first, then the spool being formed, to rest again on the drive pulley h. The tension of the thread, during its winding on the bobbin g,
is regulated by the greater or lesser bending of the rod there. This also makes it possible to obtain automatic stopping of the winding in the event of wire breakage. Indeed, when the wire breaks during work, the barbin rz 'is suddenly released and the rod ri strikes the rod m of the release lever j.
The latter is thus brought back as has already been described and eliminates the contact of the pulley h. With the reel, the rotation of which is stopped.
The advantages of the described embodiment of the device are as follows. It automatically stops the winding when the coil is finished to the determined size and in the event of the wire breaking; its construction is simple, robust and foolproof and its cost price is very low.
