Device for controlling the dispenser of a machine for dosing liquid or pasty substances. The present invention relates to a device for controlling a dispenser of a machine for dosing liquid or pasty substances, for example syrups, cheese pastes, chocolate, etc., a dispenser comprising a hopper whose or the pouring orifices are controlled by a shutter also functioning as a metering device, .which shutter is constituted by a sleeve provided with housings, capable of rotating around a shaft, which are integral with segments which can be displaced in said housings , so as to make it possible to vary the dosage of the product to be distributed,
this shutter closing and opening the pouring orifices, while dosing the product to be dispensed, the control device comprising adjustable stops which alternately immobilize the sleeve and the segment carrier shaft, and this at predetermined times corresponding to their functions , the sleeve and the segment carrier shaft being driven by a differential transmission allowing rotation of one when the other is immobilized. The appended drawing gives, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is an overall view thereof, in a longitudinal section assumed to be carried out along the line A-B-C of FIG. 4; Fig. 2 is a section along the line Y-Y of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a perspective view of part of the dispenser; Figs. 4 and 5 are respectively front, back and front views of the differential transmission; Figs. 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are schematic views showing the operation of the organs of the: distributor.
La- machine to which the positive device shown comprises a hopper 1, the pouring orifices of which, which are not shown in the drawing, are controlled by a distributor functioning as an ob turator and metering device.
This -distributor consists of a man chon 2, .muni housing 3; it is susceptible to turn around a .arbre 4. This shaft 4 are integral with segments 5 fixed to. shaft 4 with screws 6.
These segments 5 can be moved in the housings 3 so as to be able to vary the volume of the housings 3 and therefore the dosage of the product taken from the hopper 1 and which must be dispensed.
The control of this distributor, closing the tap holes and metering the cast product is carried out as follows: The shaft 4 is connected by a coupling to a shaft 7 carrying a bevel gear 8. On this shaft 7 can turn, around a sleeve 9, a second bevel pinion 10. The end of the barrel 11 with which it is fitted is connected by a coupling with the sleeve chon 2.
The two bevel gears 8 and 10 mesh with the planet gears 12 and 13, pivoting on the side of the toothed drive wheel 14 of this differential transmission device. This driving toothed wheel 14 actuated by an appropriate driving force. turns around the man chon 9.
The bevel gear 10 of the sleeve 11 is provided with a cam 15; the bevel gear 8 of the shaft 4 carries a cam 16. The. cam 15 is provided with notches 17 and the cam 16 with notches 1.8 against which the end 19 of two levers 20 provided with a second arm can abut. 21 pivoting on a common shaft 22 and urged so as to be pressed against the periphery of the cams 15 and 16 by the action of springs which are not shown. These ends 19 are moved away from the cams in due time by the action of stops acting on the end 23 of the arms 21.
These 'stops, four in number, are carried by the wheel 14; two, ie 24 and 25, are integral with the wheel, while the other two stops 26 and 27 are capable of being moved on the wheel (indicated in their two extreme positions in FIG. 6).
In order to allow the movement of the latter stops, they are fixed in a ring 28, arranged in a groove prF'vue in the side of the wheel 14; they pass through openings 29 and 30 made in wheel 14 where they are immobilized by means of nuts 31 and 32.
The operation of this distributor control device is as follows: Let us assume that the solid part of the sleeve 2 and that the segment 5 occupy with respect to the pouring holes 33 the positions indicated by the fi-. 6 and that at this time. a fixed stop 25 acting on the end 23 of the arm 21 releases it from the notch 18 of the cam 1.6, which is provided with the shaft 4 to which the segments 5 are fixed. By the action of the differential transmission, the sleeve 2 and the sebmonta 5 will run simultaneously.
When the notch 17 of the cam 15 fixed; you bevel gear 10, actuating the sleeve 2, will meet the end of the lever, the rotation of the sleeve 2 will be stopped and the latter will occupy the position given by the fi. 7 by observing the pouring opening 33; during this time, the axis 4 follows its rotational movement and its segments will decrease the volume of the housings until the movable stop 2 7 releases the end 19 of the lever to allow the rotation of the sleeve 2 and the segments 5.
The dosage is determined accordingly by the. position of the movable stops 26 and 27 with respect to the fixed stops 24 and 25. The minimum dosage is. represented by the positions of the. solid part of the sleeve 2 and of the segment; 5 shown in FIG. 8; for the maximum dosage, fig. 9 indicates the positions of these organs.
The casting takes place through the tap hole 33 while the end 19 of the lever abuts against the second notch 17 of the cam said sleeve 2 (FIG. 10); then a stop 25 releases the end 19 of the lever from this notch 17 to allow the rotation of the segment 5 and of the sleeve? which will come to occupy the positions which they occupied at the beginning of this succession of phases, as represented by fig. 6.
The phases will follow one another in a second period, but the positions occupied during the first period by the solid part of the sleeve will be replaced by those of the segments and the positions occupied during the first period by the segments will be replaced by those of the full part (read sleeve.
During the third period, the primitive positions corresponding to the. first period will be restored for the solid part of the sleeve as well as for the segments.
