Description
Process for the preparation of a soluble acidic calcium salt of inositol phosphoric acid. It has been found that a soluble acidic calcium salt of inositol phosphoric acid can be obtained,
by reacting aqueous solutions of the acidic alkali metal salts of irisophosphoric acid with the amount of calcium compound required to form the acidic calcium salt of inositolphosphoric acid and the resulting solution of the acidic calcium salt of inositolphosphoric acid is precipitated with alcohol.
Example: 1 kg of the saturated sodium salt of inositol phosphoric acid is dissolved in 4-5 liters of water and diluted hydrochloric acid is added to the solution until it reacts with Congo blue. This solution is mixed with 800 cm '255 0/0 calcium chloride solution, precipitated with 1--2 times the volume of alcohol, the precipitate is filtered off with suction, washed with alcohol until the filtrate is chlorine-free and dried in vacuo at .10-00.
The pure white, water-soluble powder obtained in this way contains 22.07% phosphorus and 13.78% calcium when dried.
Instead of the saturated one, you can also use the acidic sodium salt of inositol phosphoric acid. This is dissolved in water instead of in acid and then treated exactly as above.
