Description
Procédé et dispositif pour supprimer l'éblouissement causé par les phares d'automobiles. L'éblouissement que causent les phares d'automobiles aux conducteurs de véhicules qui les croisent est un inconvénient grave.
Or cet éblouissement existe non pas par suite de la grande intensité absolue de l'éclairage, mais bien par suite de la grande intensité relative de celui-ci par rapport à l'ombre qui règne par côté de l'automobile et der rière, les phares n'éclairant que la zone située à l'avant.
Suivant le procédé, objet de l'invention, on fixe aux automobiles au moins un phare placé de façon à éclairer la zone où doit s'engager, lors du croisement, le conducteur du véhicule arrivant en sens contraire.
Le dessin ci-joint indique schématiquement l'application de ce procédé.
La fig. 1 indique en élévation et la fig. 2 en plan une silhouette d'automobile munie de phares habituels 1, 2 à l'avant et d'un phare 3 à l'arrière.
Un phare 4 indiqué en traits interrompus, fig. 2, peut être placé sur le côté de la voi ture soit conjointement avec le phare 3 placé à l'arrière, soit en remplacement de celui-ci. Les réflecteurs des phares 3, 4 sont diri gés pour éclairer la zone où circulera le véhicule arrivant en sens contraire, et pour raient d'ailleurs être montés sur pivots de position réglable.
On remarquera que l'éclairage des phares 3 et 4 ne peut en aucune façon gêner le conducteur d'un véhicule voulant dépasser celui représenté sur le schéma.
Claims (1)
- REVENDICATIONS I Procédé pour supprimer l'éblouissement causé par les phares d'automobiles suivant lequel on fixe aux automobiles au moins un phare placé de façon à éclairer la zone où doit s'engager, lors du croisement, le conducteur du véhicule arrivant en sens contraire. II Dispositif pour l'application du procédé revendiqué sous I, comprenant au moins Lui phare fixé à l'automobile et dont le réflecteur est dirigé pour éclairer la, zone où circulera le véhicule arrivant en sens contraire.
