Description
Verfdhr(#ll IM(I VOIT!ClltIlllg zuni Vernebeln von Flüssigkeiten.
Process for nebulizing liquids. The present invention relates to a method and a device for nebulizing liquids.
The new method is based on allowing a jet of liquid to hit a flat surface with a high 1) smell and a diameter so small that it can dissolve the jet of liquid in mist (# rfol-, eii. Smooth spherical surfaces are particularly advantageous shown, whereby the liquid jet in a radial direction is sprayed onto the ball.
According to the invention, the device for generating the neuter has an impact surface which is arranged to be adjustable with respect to a nozzle orifice, according to the existing liquid pressure, the viscosity and the temperature of the liquid - si .., the distance of the impact surface from the nozzle can be changed.
An example embodiment of this device is shown schematically in the accompanying drawing.
A nozzle 2 is inserted into a supply pipe 1 , which is provided with a very fine opening . A holder is slidably seated on the pipe 1 3 which has an exchangeable ball 4 on the front EI . The center of the ball 4 lies exactly in the axis of the nozzle 2. The holder 3 can be precisely set on the tube 1 using a scale 5 . The liquid emerging from the nozzle 2 under great pressure radially strikes the ball 4, which is provided with a smooth surface. The jet is atomized and rises up like smoke.
Severity resp. a certain size over moving liquid particles, which ete due to imperfection of the nozzle. can still arise, fall down due to their weight and can, for example, flow by means of a drainage from the room in which the nebulization takes place, as this avoids prolonged contact of the mist with the liquid. The latter can be conducted again to the nozzle 2 through the supply pipe 1 .
The atomization point can be located within a vessel through which an air or gas stream passes, which takes the liquid mist that has arisen with it and possibly reacts with it. The mist can also escape directly into the room, for example to keep the air in the room humid or to impregnate fabrics, yarn, etc.
The liquid can also be treated according to the new method for the purpose of being able to dry it out easily. For example, milk can be nebulized and, in this state, dried using dry, warm air. The new process can also be used for the production of gases and vapors for military purposes or for the destruction of pests.
