Description

Installation for washing wool in water. The object of the present invention is an installation for washing wool in water, of the type comprising at least one column comprising washing tanks. This installation is characterized by a positive -dis for taking resp. column, a dirty detergent liquid containing greasy and by a device for purifying this liquid by evacuating its impurities and then reintroducing it into the resp. in a column of the installation.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an installation according to the invention for washing wool with greasy, followed by finishing with soap.

Fig. 1 is a schematic side elevational view of a column of this installation; Fig. 2 is a cross section taken along the line A-B of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a cross section taken along the line C-D of FIG. 1.

The wool to be washed is first of all soaked in hot grease liquor; for this purpose it falls into a vertical hood 31 where it is sprayed with the ooze liquor in the manner described below. This hood ends at the bottom with a section inclined at 35. Two rollers 33, the spacing of which is adjustable, both controlled at an adjustable speed by a gearbox, feed the wool out of the hood. The flywheel 34 projects this wool in small quantities onto an apron 36 which feeds the press 166.

The juice which flows from the hood 31 and from the press 166 falls into a tank 107 in the form of an inverted pyramid provided with a perforated false bottom on which scraps of wool are collected to put them back on the apron 36. Du tank 107, the liquid can flow into channel 20.

The wool which leaves the press 166 is delivered to the apron 266; it falls on the table 267 which also receives the pieces of wool coming from the apron 36 and which refused to pass through the press 166. The table 267 leads the wool into the tank 1 which contains a hot liquor of ooze towards 4 Bé; it has a perforated false bottom 10 under which there are funds in the form of inverted pyramids 11 with strongly inclined walls, allowing the collection of sludge separated from the wool, and their evacuation by means of automatic flushes. The sludge is then entrained with liquid from the bath.

For this purpose, each bottom (there are four under the first tray) is provided (fig. 3) at its lower part with a drain valve 60 supported on its seat by a counterweight placed inside the py. ramid. The opening of these valves is commanded directly outside the washer tank by cams 120 wedged on a longitudinal shaft 62 and acting on the lever 62 '. The latter can also be actuated by pressing with the foot on a pedal 113. The time during which these valves remain open is determined by the layout of the aforesaid cams as well as by the speed of the shaft 62, which can rotate d 'continuously or intermittently. The wool is propelled into bin 1; it is transported by an apron 17 to the press 16 from where it exits on the apron 26.

The liquid coming out of the. wool after the press 16 which follows the tank 1 can, in whole or in part, through the pipe 22, pass into the bottom of the tank 1 where the sludge collects and from where it is taken at fixed intervals and passes through the channels 20. The liquid from the press 16 which does not pass into the channel 20 flows through the pipe 19 from where it is sent to the top of the hood 31, the level 20 ca is placed, for ease of its cleaning, if necessary, on one side of the column (fig. 2). This channel has branches 112 with an inclined bottom to receive the flushes of each drain valve of the tank 1. Under the press 16 of the tank 1 is a table which brings into the second bottom 1 'the wool coming out on the apron 26 of the press 16.

The channel 20 is extended along the tank 1 ', which contains hot liquor from the grease to 4 e Bé. Tray l 'is identical to tray 1; it channel its liquid into the tank 1, by overflow, which is possible the tank being higher than the tank 1; in addition, the pipe 19 'sends the overflow of the tank placed under the press 16' to the tank: 1. After the, press 16 'of the tank l', the wool passes over an apron desiccator, 42, intended to remove wool oozes it which it carries away despite the 16 'press.

Water is introduced onto the wool towards its exit from this desupper in which the water circulates in the opposite direction to the wool according to the known principle. The most concentrated greasy liquor from this desiccator is introduced into tank 1 '. The wool then enters to complete its washing in two successive tanks 1 "and 1" 'using soap as a detergent. When the liquid in these tanks is sufficiently dirty, it is discharged out of the washing installation without entering the first part of the column formed by the hood 34, the tanks 1, 1 'and the desiccator 42.

The liquids which are mixed in the channel 20 after leaving the assembly formed by the hood 31 and its. 16th press, from the assembly formed by the tank 1 and its press 16, from the assembly formed by the tank 1 'and its press 161, were taken from the dirtiest place of these various assemblies.

Any bin that cleans itself automatically can be used instead of the described bin 1. The hood 31 could discharge directly into the tank 1 its wool and all the liquid it contains.

The liquids from the channel 20 flow directly into purification devices which remove the impurities from them, preferably in the form of sludge and grease, that is to say by avoiding any loss of ooze binders.

In the fit-- 1, the liquid to be purified fi6 is led to a centrifugal device 21, called a garbage collector because it is mainly intended to remove the sludge. It passes through a pipe 20 ', the diameter of which is large enough to contain a vapor coil or any other capable device, by decreasing the viscosity of the liquid by increasing the temperature,

to increase the efficiency of the centrifugal force of the mud machine. This temperature rise simultaneously heating the liquid to the desired degree to keep the washing tank where it will return, its optimum temperature.

Coil heating, and generally contact heating, on the other hand, has the advantage of not weakening the Baumé degree of ooze, as would occur if the ooze was heated by mixing with steam.

The channels 20 of several columns can mix their liquids to feed the same garbage collector 21 and, if necessary, a group of garbage collectors.

The liquid leaving the dust collector 21 is sent into the tank 25 and from there the pipes allow it to be distributed at will in each column of the washing installation, at the top of the hood 31, in the tank 1 and, through the degreaser turbine 24, in the line 1 'next to which it is placed.

This degreasing turbine 24 is similar to turbines which remove the butter from the milk. The scouring could be done in two operations, a first removing the coarse earth in a large diameter turbine, the finishing, that is to say the removal of the colloidal earth being done in another turbine, or before or after degreasing. It should be noted that the liquid which leaves the hood 31 enters, after purification, the tanks 1 and 1 'which come after the hood in the direction that the wool travels.

The tank 1 'could have specific purification devices to itself, which would be powerful enough to keep the tank 1' in a state of greater cleanliness than the tank 1, and, for this purpose, would include, for example, a filtered.

It should be noted that the sampled liquid is brought directly to the purification device and, after purification, goes directly into the washing installation, that is to say without staying in settling tanks, where it could ferment. . It can, on the other hand, pass through a concentrator device.

In order to remove the seepage from the separated lands, they are leached, preferably with liquid taken from the desupper 42 which is then sent to the top of the hood 31. This leaching can take place in a special dust collector turbine supplied with water. ooze dirty concentrate. It comes out of the turbine of concentrated soot having abandoned part of its land.

The land separated in the turbine; moving away from the axis of rotation, pass through a complementary water inlet which exudes them, then carries them to the aqueduct. A little of this complementary water carries with it the ooze recovered from the land, leaves the turbine with the purified ooze and the liquid is reintroduced into a washing tank in connection with the purification device.
