Description

Electric drive device for the spindles of spinning machines. The invention relates to a device for electrically driving the spindles on spinning machines, in which the housing of the drive motor is carried by the spindle itself, means being provided to prevent the motor housing from rotating with the spindle. .

The subject of the invention is shown in the attached drawing in an exemplary embodiment in a vertical section.

The machine frame A consists of an upper rail a and a lower rail b, which are stiffened together by means of the struts c. The spindle d together with the wing e is mounted in the upper rail by means of a sleeve f and in the lower rail by means of a foot bearing which forms the seat for the lower end of the spindle. The foot bearing g is vertically adjustable for the purpose of allowing the height adjustment of the spindle.

This is done by moving the foot bearing in a slot in the lower rail and locking it in the desired position with an adjusting screw h. You could also provide the foot bearing with Ge threads and set ver in a threaded hole in the lower rail, with a set screw would also serve to fix here. With regard to the weight that the foot bearing has to bear, a steel ball i is provided in the same, on which the spindle end is supported.

In order to prevent the disadvantages of wear within the upper rail as far as possible, the spindle at j is tapered within the sleeve f and the sleeve in the same way, so that any disturbing play can be eliminated by adjusting the sleeve. can. A set screw k is provided to fix the sleeve.

A different bearing could of course also be used for the spindle.

The spindle drive motor B is preferably designed as a three-phase or multi-phase motor with short-circuit coil, 'which with any low drive voltage. of variable frequency works. The motor is arranged directly below the spindle, which to a certain extent represents an extension of the motor shaft.

The rotor 1, which consists of iron lamellas, is connected to the spindle so that it rotates with the same and is surrounded by a stator coil which is housed in the motor housing. The motor housing is contrary to the existing practice. ' in which it is attached to the machine frame, carried by the spindle itself ge. For this purpose, the housing consists of a main part -rt, an upper end plate o and a lower end plate p, which are connected to the main part by screws.

The upper end plate o is provided with a bearing housing q for receiving an axial support ball bearing r. The lower ring of this bearing rests on a shoulder s, which is formed by increasing the diameter of the spindle at this point. The bearing is held by means of a cap u which is screwed into the housing q. In cases where great precision is required, a guide bearing could be used in addition to a support bearing.

The lower end plate p is equipped in the same way with a ball bearing av within the bearing housing v. In this case, only a lateral guide bearing is necessary, since no weight needs to be taken up, but only the radial pressure of the spindle. The lower ball bearing leans against a ge as a result of the enlargement of the diameter of the spindle formed shoulder.

While in the present. In the event that the weight of the housing and the stator coil bearing is arranged above the motor, the lower bearing can of course also serve this purpose, in which case the upper bearing would only have to absorb the radial pressure of the spindle.

Since housing and stator coil are included. tend to rotate with the spindle under the influence of the magnetic lines of force and the friction in the bearings, means must be provided to prevent this rotation.

The same consist of one or more springs x which are attached at one end to the upper end plate o and connected to the strut c at the other end. The springs are in no way used to support the housing, since the tendency of the housing to rotate is not very great, so the springs only need to be strong enough to prevent this. The housing could also be connected to the frame by means of a rod, but the use of springs is preferable because they are easy to attach and they automatically adapt to the forces occurring. The motors B of adjacent spindles can be arranged at the same height.

Sometimes it can be useful because of space savings to arrange the motors offset in the altitude.

Instead of the closed motor housing, one could of course also use a cage housing or other constructions.

The drive device described is applicable to any type of spinning machine and for any type of spinning work.

The drive device is particularly applicable to heavy machines for spinning jute, flax and material with hard or coarse fibers.

Thanks to the present invention, it is possible, please include to create an electric drive for each spindle, which can be built in without the need to change the existing type of spindle attachment, or without having to change existing ones. Systems need special fastening devices for the motor housing to be provided.

In the case of a drive according to the present invention, it is also possible that there is enough space for each spindle to brake it by hand, as is still customary in some places.
