Sicherheitsventil.
Safety valve. Safety valves are known in which the pressure of a medium acts on a plate-shaped rubber or metal membrane clamped at the edge, which is connected to the valve disk. At overpressure. if the membrane bends against a compression spring acting on it and lifts the valve disk off the valve seat, whereby the excess pressure is diverted.
The invention now relates to a safety valve for liquids and gases under pressure, in which the pressure fluid acts on an elastic organ in order to bring the movable valve body coupled with the sem into the open position at overpressure, but is characterized by the fact that this organ does not consist of a plate-shaped rubber or metal membrane, but is formed by a metal spring tube provided with a base piece serving as a pressure plate, which can be compressed and pulled apart in the axial direction like an accordion.
The advantage of this facility is greater elasticity, therefore more precise operation and greater operational reliability, smaller space requirements, and therefore lower manufacturing costs than with the previous versions.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is shown in a schematic section.
1 is the valve housing, 2 is its connecting piece, 3 is the drainage nozzle and 9th is the valve seat on which the movable, plate-shaped valve body 5 closes off the passage of the medium. 6 is an elastic metal spring tube, which can be pulled apart and compressed again like a harmonica. The same is tightly connected at the bottom to the edge of a plate serving as a pressure base 7, which carries the downwardly projecting Zap fen 7 ', to which the valve disc 5 is hinged GE.
At the upper end, the metal spring tube 6 is tightly and firmly connected to the cover piece 8. The latter is. screwed onto the valve housing 1 and sealed on the same by the sealing ring 9. It contains a cylindrical sleeve 8'-8 "which protrudes into the cavity of the metal spring tube 6 and in the same surrounds the counter-pressure spring 10. This presses against the base piece 7 and can be tightened more or less by the regulating screw 11, depending on the situation ruling pressure that acts denstück 7 from below on the Bo.
The spring 10 is guided at the top and bottom through the pins 7 "and 11 '. 12 is an end screw on the upper sleeve part 8".
The safety valve is screwed onto a pressure line or a pressure vessel with the connector 2. The compression spring 10 is tensioned by means of the regulating screw 11 so that it still has sufficient excess weight compared to the pressure of the medium on the base piece 7 to press the valve disk 5 onto the seat 4 and thus block the passage. But as soon as the medium has an overpressure, it lifts the bottom piece 7, the metal spring tube 6 is pressed together and the valve plate is lifted from the seat so that the overpressure is diverted through the nozzle 3.
The part of the sleeve 8'-8 "protruding into the metal spring tube 6 limits the compressive movement of the metal spring tube 6. The sleeve 8'-8" could also be screwed into the same instead of being made of one piece with the cover piece 8. The valve plate 5 could, instead of being movable on the base piece 7, also be firmly connected to the same.
