      Zusatzpatent    zum Hauptpatent Nr. 124526.    Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen     Anthrachin nderivates.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man ein neues       Anthrachinonderivat    erhält, wenn man     Dime-          thylolharristoff    mit     Alizarin    kondensiert.  



  Die so erhaltene Verbindung stellt sehr  wahrscheinlich den     a-(Dioxy-anthrachinonyl)-          methyl-P-oxymethylharnstoff    dar und bildet  braune Kristalle, welche sich bei     20411    zer  setzen ohne zu schmelzen. In konzentrierter  Schwefelsäure löst er sich gelbrot, in kau  stischen Alkalien blau. Das neue Produkt  wird zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen und  weiteren Zwischenprodukten verwendet.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  1 Teil     Alizarin    wird in 20 Teilen kon  zentrierter Schwefelsäure gelöst und unter  Rühren allmählich 2 Teile     Dimethylolharn-          stoff    hinzugefügt. Nach zwei Tagen wird auf    Eis gegossen, mit Alkohol ausgekocht und  aus Nitrobenzol umkristallisiert.

  <I> Example: </I> 1 part alizarin is dissolved in 20 parts concentrated sulfuric acid, and 2 parts dimethylolurea are gradually added while stirring. After two days, it is poured onto ice, boiled with alcohol and recrystallized from nitrobenzene.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Anthrachinonderivates, dadurch gekennzeich net, dass man Dimethylolharnstoff mit Alizarin kondensiert. . Die so erhaltene Verbindung stellt sehr wahrscheinlich den a-(Dioxy-anthr-achinonyl)- methyl-i3-oxymethylharnstoff dar und bildet braune Kristalle, welche sich bei 204 zer setzen ohne zu schmelzen. In konzentrierter Schwefelsäure löst er sich gelbrot, in kau stischen Alkalien blau. Das neue Produkt wird zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen und weiteren Zwischenprodukten verwendet.
