Description
Piece of plaster. The object of the invention is a piece of plaster, generally called a plaster board or plaster board.
It has, like other known plaster pieces, a plant fiber reinforcement. But it differs from it by the fact that the fibers constituting the reinforcement cross each other, in order to make the board more resistant.
The accompanying drawing partially shows an embodiment of the part, given by way of example.
Fig. 1 is a cross section thereof and FIG. 2 a plan.
The reinforcement a of this embodiment is arranged in the middle of the thickness of the plaster mass, b, and consists of two series of vegetable fibers c, d; the fibers of each of the series are parallel and are perpendicular to those of the other series.
Experience shows that this piece of plaster, thanks to the crossing of the fibers of its framework, is much more resistant than the pieces of plaster in which the plant fibers, reeds for example, are all arranged parallel to each other.
The fibers have been shown in the drawing as being rectilinear, for simplicity; it is evident, however, that they are not necessarily rectilinear.
The angle at which they meet may differ from 90.
The reinforcement can include more than two series of crossing fibers; it is not necessarily disposed at mid-thickness of the piece of plaster and can for example be re-part over this thickness.
The piece of plaster may not be flat, its size may vary.
