Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines orangefärbenden Schwefelfarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man beim Ver schmelzen von 2-Nitro- oder 2-Amino-4- a.cetyltoluidin mit zwei oder mehr Molekülen Benzidin und Schwefel zu Farbstoffen ge langt, die Orangetöne geben, wie sie in dieser Klarheit bisher auf dem Schwefelfarbstoff gebiet noch nicht erreichbar waren. Die Fär bungen zeichnen sich ausserdem durch vor zügliche Kochechtheit aus.
Gegenstand vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines orange fär benden Schwefelfarbstoffes. Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 2- Amino-4-acetyltoluidin mit mindestens zwei Molekülen Benzidin und Schwefel bei höhe ren Temperaturen, zweckmässig während meh reren Stunden erhitzt. Der so erhaltene Farb stoff stellt ein braunes Pulver dar und färbt Baumwolle aus schwefelnatriumhaltigem Bade in orangebraunen Tönen, die durch Dämpfen oder Absäuern in ein lebhaftes; klares Orange übergehen. Durch Anwendung niedriger Temperaturen werden gelbstichigere Töne erzielt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 8,5 Gewichtsteile 2-Amino-4-acettoluid, 47,5 Gewichtsteile Benzidin und 115 Ge wichtsteile Schwefel werden mehrere Stunden von 200' steigend ' bis<B>260'</B> unter Rühren erhitzt. Die Schmelze wird gepulvert, mit Schwefelnatrium oder Natronlauge gelöst und der Farbstoff mit,Säuren ausgefällt. Der so erhaltene Farbstoff stellt ein braunes Pulver dar und färbt Baumwolle aus Schwefel- natriumhaltigem Bade in orangebraunen Tö nen, die durch Dämpfen oder Absäuern in ein lebhaftes, klares Orange übergehen.
