Das vorliegende Patent betrifft die Her stellung eines Küpenfarbstoffes der Benz antlironpyrazolanthronreihe durch alkalische Kondensation von Bz-1-Benzanthronyl-Py- l.-(4-methyl-pyra.zolanthron). Der Reaktions verlauf ist vermutlich folgender:

Beispiel; Eine Schmelze von 75 Gewichtsteilen 4tzalkali, 75 Gewichtsteilen Alkohol und 15 Gewichtsteilen Benzanthronyl-p-methyl- pyrazolanthron wird 10 bis 15 Stunden lang bei Wasserbadtempera.tur verrührt. Nach dem Verdünnen mit Wasser wird noch vor handene Leukoverbindung durch Einleiten von Luft oxydiert, der ausgeschiedene Farb stoff abfiltriert und gewaschen.
Der Farb stoff bildet eine blaugrüne Paste bezw. ein dunkles Pulver, löslich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit grüner bräunlichroter Farbe. Aus grünstichigblauer Hydrosulfit- küpe wird Baumwolle in grünblauen Tönen angefärbt.
Das als Ausgaugsmaterial verwandte Bz-1-Benzanthronyl-Py-l. - (4-methylpyra.zol- authron) entsteht beispielsweise durch Kondensation von 4-Xethylpyrazolantliron (vergleiche Berichte der Deutschen Chemi schen Gesellschaft, Band 55, Seite 2162) mit Bz - 1 - Brombenzanthron, bildet ein braungelbes Kristallpulver, das bei 332 bis 333 schmilzt.

Example; A melt of 75 parts by weight of caustic alkali, 75 parts by weight of alcohol and 15 parts by weight of benzanthronyl-p-methylpyrazole anthrone is stirred for 10 to 15 hours at a water bath temperature. After dilution with water, the leuco compound still present is oxidized by passing in air, and the precipitated dye is filtered off and washed.
The dye forms a blue-green paste or. a dark powder, soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid with a green brownish-red color. Cotton is dyed in green-blue tones from greenish blue hydrosulphite vat.
The Bz-1-Benzanthronyl-Py-1 used as output material. - (4-methylpyra.zol-authron) is formed, for example, by condensation of 4-xethylpyrazolantlirone (see reports from the Deutsche Chemi s Society, Volume 55, page 2162) with Bz - 1 - bromobenzanthrone, forms a brownish-yellow crystal powder, which at 332 to 333 melts.
