Description
Procédé de préparation d'un engrais à partir d'un sel acide de potassium et de phosphate de chaux. On a déja décrit au brevet n0 131109 un procédé pour la fabrication d'un produit utilisable comme engrais et susceptible de donner des phosphate solubles au contact de l'eau. Ce procédé consiste à préparer à sec un mélange intime de phosphate tricalcique et d'un sel acide de potassium.
La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de préparation d'un engrais, carac térisé en ce que l'on prépare un mélange intime de sulfate acide de potassium et de phosphate de chaux et en ce que l'on fait agir sur ledit mélange de l'acide nitrique dilué.
Les deux sels employés sont de préférence mélangés à l'état de poudre fine.
On obtient une masse facile à sécher et à broyer qui constitue un engrais conte nant les trois principes fertilisants, soit: acide phosphorique, potasse et azote.
La solubilisation du phosphate de chaux est due à l'action simultanée du bisulfate de potassium et de l'acide nitrique. Il se forme donc du nitrate de chaux qui réagit sur le sulfate neutre de potasse provenant du bisulfate pour donner du salpêtre et du sulfate de chaux, sels non hygroscopiques. Quoique la proportion des substances réagis- santes puisse varier dans de certaines limites, elle sera cependant de préférence telle que tout le nitrate de chaux formé soit transformé finalement en salpêtre.
Voici, à titre d'exemple, une mise en #uvre pratique du procédé selon l'invention, les proportions étant indiquées en poids.
On mélange intimement 100 parties de phosphate de chaux naturel avec 90 parties de bisulfate de potassium, ces deux corps étant finement broyés. Le mélange ainsi pré paré est arrosé avec 107 parties d'acide ni- trique à 41 %. On obtient alors, après des- siccation, un produit'titrant: P205 = 10,8 % ;
g20 = 14,3 '1/o; N = 4 %.
Process for preparing a fertilizer from an acid salt of potassium and phosphate of lime. A process for the manufacture of a product which can be used as a fertilizer and capable of giving soluble phosphates on contact with water has already been described in patent No. 131109. This process consists of preparing a dry mixture of tricalcium phosphate and an acid salt of potassium.
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a fertilizer, characterized in that an intimate mixture of potassium acid sulfate and of lime phosphate is prepared and in that said mixture of dilute nitric acid.
The two salts used are preferably mixed in the form of a fine powder.
A mass is obtained which is easy to dry and grind, which constitutes a fertilizer containing the three fertilizing principles, namely: phosphoric acid, potash and nitrogen.
The solubilization of lime phosphate is due to the simultaneous action of potassium bisulfate and nitric acid. Lime nitrate is therefore formed which reacts with the neutral potassium sulphate coming from the bisulphate to give saltpeter and lime sulphate, non-hygroscopic salts. Although the proportion of the reactants may vary within certain limits, it will however preferably be such that all the nitrate of lime formed is finally transformed into saltpetre.
Here is, by way of example, a practical implementation of the process according to the invention, the proportions being indicated by weight.
100 parts of natural lime phosphate are intimately mixed with 90 parts of potassium bisulphate, these two bodies being finely ground. The mixture thus prepared is washed down with 107 parts of 41% nitric acid. A titrant product is then obtained after desiccation: P205 = 10.8%;
