Description

  montre-bracelet.

  La     fig.    1 est -une coupe transversale du  médaillon de la première forme d'exécution,  faite suivant la ligne     I-I    de la     fig.    2 qui  est elle-même une vue en plan dudit mé  daillon;  La     fig.    3 est une coupe de la deuxième  forme d'exécution faite suivant la ligne  Il     I-III    de la     fig.    4 qui est une vue en plan  de ladite forme     d'exécution;     La     fig.    5 est une coupe partielle agran  die faite suivant les lignes     V    -N' des fi-. 1  à 4;

    La fig. 6 est une partie de la fig. 1 mon trée à grande échelle; La fig. 7 est une partie de la fig. 3 éga lement montrée à grande échelle; La fig. 8 montre en plan une troisième forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention; La fig. 9 est une coupe brisée faite sui vant la ligne IX-IX de la fig. 8.

  wristwatch. The present invention relates to a wristwatch, characterized in that it comprises a link provided with a medallion. This latter may for example be completely independent of the closure of the bracelet or may be combined with this closure. It can even form an integral part of it.

  The appended drawing represents, by way of example, some embodiments of the object of the invention.

  Fig. 1 is a cross section of the medallion of the first embodiment, taken along the line I-I of FIG. 2 which is itself a plan view of said medallion; Fig. 3 is a section of the second embodiment taken along the line II I-III of FIG. 4 which is a plan view of said embodiment; Fig. 5 is an enlarged partial section taken along lines V -N 'of fi-. 1 to 4;

    Fig. 6 is a part of FIG. 1 large-scale production; Fig. 7 is a part of FIG. 3 also shown on a large scale; Fig. 8 shows in plan a third embodiment of the object of the invention; Fig. 9 is a broken section taken along the line IX-IX of FIG. 8.

  In the three embodiments shown, the medallion consists of a sheath 1 made of a very thin metal plate. One of the faces of this sleeve is pierced with a window 2 through which can be seen an image 3 introduced through a slot 4 provided on the edge of said sleeve (one of the long sides). The latter is provided with two handles 5 and 6 pierced with slots 7. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, 2, 5 and 6, the link 8 of the bracelet is led through said slots and on the face of the medallion opposite to the window 2 so as not to obstruct the latter.

  In the second embodiment (fig. 3, 4 and 7) the link is formed of three parts 8, 10 and 1, the latter being constituted by the medallion itself. The parts 8 and 10 end with hooks 11 and 12 which are stapled to the handles 5 and 6. In this embodiment, the medallion constitutes a clasp. The link will preferably be elastic, while in the first embodiment the link may be of the so-called moiré, cord or other type.

  The combination of the medallion and the clasp could be still quite different from that shown in figs. 1 to 7. The closure could be effected by means of a male part 9 shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 springing and being inserted under the sheath 1 of the medallion in a slide 10 reserved for this purpose. This male part 9 could have mechanical means such as springs, latching pawls, secrets, etc. to hold it in the slideway against the traction operated on the bracelet link due to its fixing.

  In the embodiment shown, the aforementioned male part 9 ends with a pawl 11 which engages behind a projection 14 of the slideway. To release the part 9, it suffices to exert on a part 12 thereof a pressure directed in the direction of the arrow 13 and to pull this part out of the slide.

  The male part 9 has a loop 6 by means of which it is attached to the part 8 of the link. The medallion 1 carries a handle 5 as in the previous embodiments.

  Instead of being placed on the link in the direction of its length, the medallion could just as well be placed in the direction of the width.

  In the figures of the accompanying drawing, the window has a rectangular shape, but it could, like the medallion, be elliptical, circular or have more than four sides. It is also not essential that the window and the medallion have similar shapes. Thus, the medallion could be polygonal, the window being limited by a curved line. The opposite could just as well be expected. Instead of a single window, we can also provide two. Finally, the medallion, instead of being constituted by a sheath, as in the embodiments shown, could be constituted by two parts joined by a hinge and presenting a decorative motif engraved or obtained by a photographic process.
