Appareil <SEP> de <SEP> -eté <SEP> contre <SEP> les <SEP> chutes. L'objet de la présente invention est un appareil de sûreté contre les chutes constitué par une ceinture principale sur laquelle est fixée une ceinture auxiliaire, la première des tinée à soutenir une personne placée sur une échelle, la deuxième attachant ladite personne à la ceinture principale, cette dernière étant pourvue, pour l'empêcher de glisser le long des montants de l'échelle, d'un crochet s'adap tant à un échelon.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue montrant les deux ceintures ouvertes; La fig. 2 est une vue montrant la dis position de l'appareil sur une échelle. L'objet représenté comporte une ceinture principale 1 munie à une de ses extrémités d'une boucle 2, l'autre extrémité étant pourvue de trous 3, permettant de modifier la longueur utile de ladite ceinture 1. La ceinture auxi liaire est formée de deux parties 4 et 5 cou sues chacune à une de leurs extrémités à la ceinture principale; les autres extrémités pou vant être réunies par un dispositif semblable à celui de la ceinture principale. Cette dernière porte un crochet 6 servant à fixer l'appareil à un échelon pour l'empêcher de glisser le long des montants de l'échelle 7.
Le fonctionnement de l'appareil est le suivant: La ceinture principale est placée de ma nière à entourer à la fois l'échelle et la per sonne se trouvant sur cette dernière, tandis que la ceinture auxiliaire n'entoure que ladite personne. Quand la personne est à hauteur voulue sur l'échelle; pour cueillir des fruits par exemple, elle fixe à un échelon la ceinture principale au moyen du crochet 6 comme indiqué en fig. 2, pour empêcher cette dernière de glisser. La personne est ainsi libre d'uti liser ses deux mains sans être gênée dans ses mouvements.
On peut prévoir, à la ceinture principale, un dispositif 8 (fig. 2), soit courroie, crochet, etc. permettant de suspendre un panier par exemple.

The auxiliary belt is formed of two parts 4 and 5 necks each at one end of the main belt; the other ends can be joined by a device similar to that of the main belt. The latter carries a hook 6 used to fix the device to a rung to prevent it from sliding along the uprights of the ladder 7.
The operation of the apparatus is as follows: The main belt is placed so as to surround both the ladder and the person on the latter, while the auxiliary belt surrounds only said person. When the person is at the desired height on the ladder; to pick fruit for example, it fixes the main belt to a rung by means of the hook 6 as shown in fig. 2, to prevent the latter from slipping. The person is thus free to use both hands without being hampered in his movements.
A device 8 (fig. 2), either belt, hook, etc. can be provided at the main belt. allowing to suspend a basket for example.
