  Verfahren zur Darstellung von     4-LDi-(ogyäthyl)j-amino-3-methyl-l-ogybenzol.       Gemäss dem Verfahren des Zusatzpatentes  Nr. 139368 gewinnt man     4-[Di-(oxyäthyl)]-          amino-3-methyl-l-oxybenzol    durch Kondensa  tion von 1     Mol.        4-Amino-3-methyl-l-oxyben-          zol    mit 2     Mol.    eines     Halogenhydrins    des       Glykols.     



  Wie gefunden wurde, kann man die  gleiche Verbindung erhalten, wenn man  1     Mol.        4-Amino-3-methyl-l-oxybenzol    mit 2       Mol.        Äthylenoxyd    umsetzt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  123 Teile     4-Amino-3-methyl-l-oxybenzol     werden mit 1000 Teilen Wasser versetzt.  Unter Rühren leitet man bei zirka<B>700</B> C  einen lebhaften Strom von     Äthylenogyd    ein.  Nach kurzer Zeit hat sich das     4-[Di-(oxy    äthyl)]-         amino-3-methyl-l-oxybenzol    gebildet. Man  kocht auf, filtriert und befreit das Filtrat im  Vakuum vom Wasser. Der ölige Rückstand       erstarrt    und wird aus Wasser unter Zugabe  von etwas     Natriumbisulfit    und Kohle um  kristallisiert.

  It has been found that the same compound can be obtained by reacting 1 mol of 4-amino-3-methyl-1-oxybenzene with 2 mol of ethylene oxide.



  <I> Example: </I> 123 parts of 4-amino-3-methyl-1-oxybenzene are mixed with 1000 parts of water. A brisk stream of ethylene oxide is introduced at about 700 C. while stirring. After a short time 4- [di- (oxy ethyl)] - amino-3-methyl-1-oxybenzene has formed. The mixture is boiled up, filtered and the filtrate is freed from water in vacuo. The oily residue solidifies and is crystallized from water with the addition of a little sodium bisulfite and charcoal.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung von 4-[Di-(oxy- äthyl)]-amino-3-methyl-l-oxybenzol, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man 1 Mol. 4-Amino-3- methyl-l-oxybenzol mit 2 Mol. Äthylenoxyd umsetzt. PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of 4- [di- (oxy-ethyl)] - amino-3-methyl-l-oxybenzene, characterized in that 1 mol. 4-amino-3-methyl-l-oxybenzene with 2 mol Ethylene oxide converts.
