Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines wertvollen Produktes ans Montanwachs. Es wurde gefunden, dass man Montan wachs, das durch Behandlung mit Oxydations mitteln, zum Beispiel mit Chlor, Chromsäure oder Luft bei Gegenwart von Salpetersäure usw. gebleicht worden ist, in ein wertvolles Produkt überführen kann, wenn man die in dem gebleichten Montanwachs enthaltenen freien organischen Säuren mindestens teil weise in das Natriumsalz überführt.
Man erhält auf diese Weise ein Wachs, das vor allem eine Neigung zum Kristallisieren nicht mehr zeigt und bei der Verwendung; zum Beispiel in Schuhcremen, Bohnermassen etc., eine gute Bindung mit Terpentinöl und an dern Lösungs- und Verdünnungsmitteln, wie sie in der Schuhoremefabrikation und der gleichen verwendet werden, ergibt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 100 Teile durch Behandlung mit Chrom säure gebleichtes Montanwachs werden mit einer Lösung von 2 Teilen Natriumkarbonat in 5 Teilen Wasser bei 110-120' behandelt, bis alles Wasser verdampft ist.
