Description
Schmiedeverfahren her- gestellt werden.
Method for producing profiled metal pieces. Profiled metal pieces, which are to be understood as those metal pieces whose profile cannot be easily produced by rolling, in which the transverse profile is not the same over the entire length of the work piece, then offers great difficulties or is above all len things even impossible if the profiling, that is, the shape deviating from the original shape of the metal piece, in relation to the cross-section of the non-profiled parts, he reaches considerable strengths and heights.
Such metal pieces could previously only in press or. Forging processes are produced.
According to the invention, it is possible to produce such profiled workpieces in that the workpiece to be profiled is passed between a rotating roller and a table which is movable in the direction of roller rotation and which produces the profiling in whole or in part. The roller presses the piece of metal to be profiled into the table, which has the profile shape. In the case of profiles that have only low heights, no special facilities or measures are required to allow the rolling stock to stretch unhindered. However, if the height of the profiling is greater, the preliminary profile of the roller and the mobile table is expediently fed in such a way that it is unhindered behind the processing point. can expand.
A drainage groove can serve as a means for this, for example, which feeds the metal piece to be profiled approximately tangentially to the processing point.
The drawing shows, for example, a device for carrying out this process, namely: Fig. 1 is a section along the line B-ss in Fig. 2, Fig. 2 is a section along the line II-, t in Fig. 1, Fig 3 a piece of metal to be profiled. and rig. 4 respectively the profiled metal piece in a longitudinal view. Longitudinal section.
The table c, which can be moved on rollers b, is arranged opposite the driven top roller a. On its underside, the table carries the rack d, in which the gear wheel e, which serves for the return movement, uno, engages. For better support, the table rests opposite the processing point on the lower roller that absorbs the counterpressure. f.
The preliminary profile g is, as the drawing reveals, at an acute angle to the table c of the processing point between the top roller and the replaceable insert 1z of the roller table, which insert Ir carries the workpiece to be pressed pro filing incorporated. The directions in which the work movements take place are indicated by arrows. The inclined feed of the metal piece to be profiled has the advantage that, given the relatively high profiling shown, the roll bar can stretch almost smoothly behind the processing point.
As a result, there can be no throwing, hanging or upsetting of the workpiece in the insert. Instead of driving the top roller, the table can of course also be driven without the essence of the invention being changed.
It has proven to be advantageous for the formation of the top roller a to make the outer ring i which comes into contact with the metal piece to be profiled easily replaceable, namely in that the replaceable roller ring i. is clamped in a ring shape on a conical collar 7c of the roller axis l with the aid of a ring in a conical tightening surface by screws.
The essence of the invention is nothing ge changes if the profiling of the metal piece is made only to a certain extent by the table c, on the other hand by the roller a. Such cases are conceivable, for example, if an elevation is required on both the upper and lower side of the metal piece, or if the elevation on the upper side should correspond to a depression on the lower side and vice versa.
