Watch in case. It has already been proposed to put a foot in a watch housed in a case, in order to be able to put it "in an easel" with a case or green, but until now, the useful positioning of said foot always required special handling. . In the watch in a case according to the present invention, the foot is automatic, it is subjected to the action of a res sort which causes it to come out of the case as soon as the latter is opened and the watch comprises means which do so. fit inside this case when you close it.
An exemplary embodiment of such a watch is shown in the accompanying drawing. We have chosen here as an example a watch whose case is in two parts moving away from each other to allow the dial to be seen, but it is natural that, without departing from the framework drawn by the claim of the present patent, other forms of case could be used.
In fig. 1, there is shown partially in section, seen from the side of the foot, or from the side opposite the dial, a watch according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a section along the line II-II of FIG. 1; Fig. 3 is a view from above of the watch in question, certain parts being shown broken away, so as to show the way in which the foot functions.
The case is designated by a, it contains a movement which is not shown Pt has guides b at its top and bottom which lead the two halves c of a two-piece case sliding on the case.
In a large spring e have come out of the ears f which serve as stops for the two halves of the case and limit their outward travel, so that, when they are separated from each other, there is no There is only the cadran which appears between their edges. Above the spring e, and in a recess of the housing,
-is housed the foot d fixed by means of a screw m on the invisible flat of an axis 7a which passes through the entire housing and carries at one of its ends an arm s to which is attached a spring o whose other end is taken under the head of a screw p. In the positions shown in the drawing, the foot is taken out of the case and the axis of the arm coincides with that of the spring. On the top of the foot is provided a reinforced part q, in which are taken symmetrically inclined planes r which cooperate with the edge of the mouths of the two parts of the case, so that when the latter are brought together one of the other, the foot is automatically returned inside the closed watch.
When the parts of the case are nested one inside the other, the position of the arm s is such that its axis no longer coincides with that of the spring, so that the traction of the latter applies a torque to the axis. which tends to rotate the axis. and to bring out the foot. This takes place as soon as, by separating the two halves of the case, the possibility is created.
The spring causing the exit of the foot could also be placed in the axis n itself and the inclined planes r cooperating with the halves of the case could also be replaced by a device located at the end of the axis n and cooperating. with means such as specially shaped stops housed in the bottom of the case halves. It is possible to use devices other than those mentioned above to operate the foot.
