Description

Self-winding watch. The invention relates to a watch with automatic re-assembly comprising a case whose hinged cover is subjected to the action of a secret spring and controls a pinion integral with the winding stem, by means of a transmission mechanism comprising an auxiliary winding stem and gears.

The invention relates to said transmission mechanism and achieves an important constructive improvement by the fact that the auxiliary winding stem carries an arm coupled to the cover by means of a rod pivoted on the cover respectively on the hinge holder, at. proximity to the axis of pi votement -du cover.

This mechanism is distinguished by its smooth and quiet operation, achieving a good transmission ratio; it also offers the advantage of being applicable to a certain type of watch convertible into easel watches by means of a movable cover relative to the hinge holder. The appended drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention, the housing of which is shown in section.

The case comprises a dome 1, a cover 2, a cage holder 3 and a flange 4. The watch movement 5 is fitted into the dome 1 using the cage holder 3 and the flange 4. The cover 2 is fitted. connected to the cap 1 by means of a hinge 6 containing at least one torsion spring 7 always tending to open the cover 2 of the housing.

On the winding stem 8 of the watch movement is wedged a pinion 9 which meshes with a toothed transmission 10 carrying a pinion 11 meshing with a toothed wheel 12 wedged on an auxiliary winding stem 13 mounted and clamped in the frame of the movement . On a square of this rod 13 is mounted and fixed by a sleeve and a screw 15 an arm 14 for mant crank and which is coupled to the cover key 2 by means of a rod 16. The latter is connected by an articulation pivoted, on the one hand, to the crank arm 14 and, on the other hand, to an ear 17 provided at the inner edge of the cover.

The movement of the cover is thus transmitted to the winding stem 8, so that the winding mechanism is effectively actuated each time the cover 2 is closed against the spring 7, this spring revolving automatically the cover as soon as the secret or the button of the iron moir is played.

The pivot connecting the rod 16 to the key cover is located near the hinge 6, so that the translational movement dc. The coupling rod is relatively small during operation of the mechanism. The drawing shows in phantom lines a second position of the connecting rod and crank arm. Any neutral position between these two components is avoided. The connecting rod 16 could be connected to the couver-ale via a hinge door, as, for example, in mon tres convertible into dead trestles, where the cover is movable on the hinge holder.
