Description
Heating and ventilation equipment on motor vehicles. The invention relates to a device on motor vehicles, in particular with a closed car body. Depending on the temperature, it allows the air to be heated or extracted from the interior of the car, i.e. ventilation.
From Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is in the heating position with variant it is evident.
The exhaust pipe A of the engine T leads in the usual way under the car body through in the known exhaust head P. To the aforementioned exhaust pipe A, a jacket pipe M is attached to a larger diameter than that of the exhaust pipe. This running in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle Man telrohr is behind by a flap D BEzw. K, Fig. 1 respectively. 2 (it could also be a removable cover or a slider), locked and open at the front under the carriage at E. From this jacket pipe M, nozzles S and R lead into the passenger compartment J of the vehicle. When the vehicle drives forward, the air presses on the mouth E of the jacket pipe, whereby a stream of pure, hot air flows into the interior of the vehicle through the sockets S and R.
This stream of hot air can be passed on in cross tubes (footrests) which are provided with openings.
The jacket tube M has the flap K BEZW at its rear end. D, for the purpose to bezw at a sufficiently large car inside temperature. to let the hot air escape to the rear when the outside temperature is sufficient. In this case, when driving forward rapidly, the air from the interior is respectively through the nozzles R and S. S sucked by S alone powerfully like an injector, depending on the setting of the lid D, Fig. 1, or the flap K, Fig. 2. It has been shown that the suction from the respectively. the front connection S (if several are available) is sufficient to ventilate the area in front of their passenger area where engine fumes and engine heat can easily reach through the pedal openings.
The device for opening the rear end of the jacket pipe is also of great importance because otherwise the enclosed exhaust pipe would be very hot at high outside temperatures (summer), which could result in a retroactive, force-reducing accumulation of the exhaust gases and heating of the engine; Likewise, the nozzles S and R leading into the interior of the car would spread unwanted heat due to the direct discharge.
