Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Im Hauptpatent ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Schwefelfarbstoffes durch Erhitzen von Binaphtylendioxyd mit Schwe fel auf höhere Temperatur beschrieben und im Zusatzpatent Nr. 189394 ein Verfahren dargelegt, bei dem ein Farbstoff durch Ein wirkung von Chlorschwefel auf Binaphtylen- dioxyd erhalten wird.
Im Zusatzpatent Nr. 145627 wurde ge zeigt, dass man ebenfalls zu einem Schwefel farbstoff gelangt, wenn man Tetrahalogen-, binaphtylendioxyd mit einem Schwefelungs- mittel erhitzt.
Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist nun ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Schwefelfarbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Pentahalogenbinaphtylendioxyd mixt einem Schwefelungsmittel erhitzt.
Zweckmässig arbeitet man bei Anwendung von Schwefel in Gegenwart eines hochsieden den Verdünnungsmittels. <I>Beispiel:</I> 15 Gewichtsteile Pentachlorbinaphtylen- dioxyd werden mit 120 Gewichtsteilen kri stallisiertem Schwefelnatrium und 60 Ge wichtsteilen Schwefel sieben Stunden auf 180 bis 200' erhitzt. Zur Reinigung löst man die Schmelze mit 18,0 Gewichtsteilen kristallisiertem Schwefelnatrium in Wasser, filtriert und fällt den Farbstoff mit Säuren aus. Derselbe ist ein halogenfreies violett braunes Pulver, welches sich mit Schwefel natrium rot in Wasser löst, mit gleicher Farbe auf Baumwolle zieht und nach dem Verhängen klare, sehr echte rotbraune Fär bungen liefert.
In the main patent, a process for the preparation of a sulfur dye by heating binaphthylene dioxide with sulfur to a higher temperature is described and in additional patent No. 189394 a method is presented in which a dye is obtained by the action of chlorosulfur on binaphthylene dioxide.
In additional patent no. 145627 it was shown that a sulfur dye can also be obtained if tetrahalogen dioxide or binaphthylene dioxide is heated with a sulfurizing agent.
The subject matter of the present invention is a process for the preparation of a sulfur dye, characterized in that pentahalogenbinaphthylene dioxide is mixed and heated with a sulfurizing agent.
It is expedient to work when using sulfur in the presence of a high-boiling diluent. <I> Example: </I> 15 parts by weight of pentachlorobinaphthylene dioxide are heated to 180 to 200 'for seven hours with 120 parts by weight of crystallized sodium sulfur and 60 parts by weight of sulfur. For purification, the melt is dissolved with 18.0 parts by weight of crystallized sodium sulphide in water, filtered and the dye is precipitated with acids. It is a halogen-free, violet-brown powder that dissolves in water with sodium-red sulfur, is the same color on cotton and provides clear, very real red-brown colors after hanging.
