Description
Process for the production of non-decomposing, emergency non-corrosive disinfectants and cleaning agents. I R fig 1, -Pimi # ötünd-e The extraordinarily beneficial effect of sodium hypochlorite is known- For this reason, solutions are found Ilypoelilorit is widely used for disinfection and cleaning,
and zwa-r insl-t3 special of metal device sheaths. Tools and objects "- as they are used in dairy and breweries and for nursing, especially in hospitals. Hypochlorite liquor has the disadvantage, however, that it attacks metals strongly and, in the presence of metals, even becomes explob: like a knot decomposed.
This not only often results in damage to the devices, but the lye itself becomes ineffective as a result.
In order to increase its cleaning power and to be able to better remove the fat adhering to the treated vessels, "sodium hydroxide solution has been added to the poolilorite solution. The germicidal properties of such a mixture are excellent. Nevertheless, such a solution has also not proven itself, because metals "In particular, tin and aluminum, the chlorine and the excess caustic soda are so strongly attacked that the service life of the devices is greatly reduced.
It has already been proposed to obtain solid solutions of alkali hypochlorites by evaporating and stirring water glass solution until a semi-solid solution has formed, to which the sodium hypochlorite solution is added or a mixture of sodium hypochlorite to produce chlorite solution, water glass and calcined sada.
Since the water contained in these solid solutions cannot be brought back into solution, the preparation is therefore unsuitable as a disinfectant and cleaning agent.
As has now been found, the favorable properties of the hypochlorite solution are retained in full, while the disadvantages described are so. almost completely disappear if you add a glass of water to them.
Observations made over a long period of time have shown that a hypoelilorite solution containing this type of water glass hardly attacks metals at all, and that the decomposition observed with sodium chloride solution without this addition does not occur. The effect is likely due to
that the water glass within the liquid mixture acts as a colloidal protective layer for the metals and consequently prevents chemical reactions between metal and chlorine lye.
The disinfectant and cleaning agent produced in this way can not only be used advantageously for treating equipment and the like for dairy, breweries and butchers, as well as for nursing, but is also particularly suitable for cleaning Bottles in which beer, wine, mineral water and other beverages are filled in order to protect the metal parts of the devices used for cleaning and 3 / lasc # hi-neu.
According to the invention, water glass, which can be used in the form of potassium or soda water glass, is expediently added in such amounts that no precipitation takes place.
The disinfectant is produced in the following way, for example.
A mixture is prepared from: 562 gr sodium hypochlorite solution of spec. Weight 1.125 and 250 gr sodium hydroxide solution from spec. Weight 1,383. 500 grams of this solution are mixed with 300 grams of 38/40 'B6 soda water.
For the purpose of disinfection, the concentrated solution is used in appropriate dilution. Solutions are sufficient to achieve the desired purpose. which contain 1/4 to 2 % of the concentrated liquid.
The protective effect of water glass against metals can be used in the preparation of disinfectants, which consist of solutions of alkali or alkaline earth metal hypochlorites, alone or from solutions of hypochlorites and caustic alkalis.
