Process for the production of a new vat dye. It has been found that new valuable vat dyes are obtained if one uses pyrazola, nthro, n-2-earbo.n, acid-halogenicle, or their derivatives with o-aminophenols or ol-aminomers 'ka, p-lanes or o-diamines condensed.
The dyes produced in this way contain an azole ring and correspond to the general formula:
EMI0001.0011
In the formula: R denotes hydrogen, alkyl, aryl or aralkyl and X denotes an oxygen or sulfur atom or an iminol group.
If R is hydrogen in the pyrazole anthrone derivative used, the resulting pyrazole anthrone derivatives can also be alkylated, arylated or aralkylated subsequently. You can also introduce substituents in the vat dyes obtained in this way. The nuances of the new dyes vary within wide limits.
The present patent now relates to .a process for the production of a new vat dye, characterized in that 2-amino-3-oxyallthraquinone is condensed with pyrazole, thron-9-carboxylic acid chloride.
The dye dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a yellow-orange color and, from a blue vat, produces green stems), yellow colors with very good resistance to chlorine and soap, which turn blue-violet when dabbed with <B> Al- </B> kali. By methylation, for example by boiling with Toluolsi-ilfoeäuremethylestier and pot ash in nitrobenzene solution, the dye is converted into an alkali-proof, orange dye, substance with very good fastness properties.
This dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with a deep red color than the non-methylated dye; the vat is also colored blue.
<I> Example: </I> 24 parts 2 .'- Amino-3 # -o.xyanthraellinone are mixed with 2 parts pyrazola.ntlirone-2-carboxylic acid chloride and <B> 750 </B> parts of nitrobenzene until completion the condensation is heated to 120 to <B> 130 '</B> <B> * </B> The condensation product, isolated in a known manner by filtering and washing with alcohol, is heated to about <B> 130' by heating with concentrated sulfuric acid. C </B> converted into the oxazole under Ringseliluss.
By precipitating the cooled solution in sulfuric acid with water and washing until the reaction is neutral, the dye is obtained in the form of a greenish yellow paste.
