Description

Process - Manufacture of panels with writing and images by spraying. The present invention relates to a method for producing boards with writing and images by spraying, after which a pause is made from the outlines of the writing and images, this pause and the board are glued together by means of a rubber solution so that no air is blown and wrinkles arise, whereupon the stuck-on break is cut through the outlines of the writings and pictorial representations and then those pieces of the break that cover areas that are to be laid out in color are removed from the board,

whereupon the paint is applied by means of a paint spray gun and, after the paint has dried, the rest of the pause remaining on the plate is removed.

Compared to the known methods, the process has the advantage that panels, which previously required at least 4-8 * days to be produced, can be produced in one day, since very quickly drying inks can be used. The contours are given a sharpness that is only possible with the most careful post-processing that requires a great deal of time and skill when making with a brush. There are no holders for stencils necessary whose use require reworking of the panels. It is also possible to produce multi-colored panels using this process.

The method according to the present invention is particularly suitable for making advertising and company panels made of glass in so-called reverse glass painting, that is, in painting in which the back of the glass panel is painted directly. To carry out the process, the following procedure is carried out, for example: First a drawing of the board in natural size is made, from which any number of pauses can be drawn. Such a break is coated with a rubber solution and also the back of a glass panel, after it has been thoroughly cleaned, coated with this rubber solution. The break is now glued to the glass board, taking great care that no wrinkles or air bubbles arise.

Now, with the aid of a suitable knife, cut through all the contours of the writings and images on the break. This cuts the pause into a number of pieces. Then all those of these pieces that cover areas on the board which are to be laid out in a first color are weighed from the board. The gluing using a rubber solution allows a flawless removal, so that the glass panel is completely clean, without any rubber residue. The surfaces exposed in this way are now sprayed with finite paint. The contours of the colored areas thus created on the board correspond exactly to the cutting lines in the break.

If the paint is sufficiently dry, the remainder of the pause on the board is peeled off and the writing and images appear on the board in perfect sharpness.

According to the method, panels can also be produced in two or more colors. After the paint that was applied first has dried, not all of the rest of the pause left on the board is removed, but only parts that cover areas that are to be laid out in another color. The board is then sprayed with this second color and, after this paint has dried, either the entire rest of the break or only parts of it, which cover areas that are to appear on the board in another color, are peeled off. After the last remainder of the break has been peeled off, the board is advantageously sprayed with a paint, which then forms the basis for the writings and pictorial representations.

Boards made of opaque material such as sheet metal, wood, cardboard, etc. can also be produced using this process. Such boards are first provided with the base, preferably consisting of cold enamel. This is also advantageously done with the spray gun. On the board prepared in this way, a break is glued in the same way as described above and proceed in the same way. If different colors are to be used here, it must be ensured that all surfaces that have already been sprayed must be covered before another color is sprayed.
