Description

= 0, hi = 0 den Teilstrich<I>T = t,</I> also Fallzeit = Messzeit aufweist.

Aiming device for dropping objects from aircraft. The aim of the invention is to quickly, safely and without the use of auxiliary targets, determine the lead angle required to achieve a hit when dropping bombs, mail bags and the like from aircraft.

According to the invention, this purpose is achieved by a target device in which two alidads mounted on a horizontal pin provided with a common fore-sight and drop-off visor during an unchangeable measuring time that can be set by a chronometer and can be stopped by hand in such opposite directions can be pivoted so that the straight-line approached destination is constantly in the sight of the one determined to the preliminary sight,

Visier alidade, which swings backwards from its front starting position, remains during which time the other throwing alidade, which is intended to set the lead angle, is inevitably pivoted forward so far from its rear starting position,

that after the measurement time has elapsed their position against the vertical direction gives the lead angle required to achieve a hit.

The invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment, namely shows; Fig. 1 the geo metric basis, Fig. 2 the Zielvorrich device with Visieralhidadenführung for large, that is, the measuring time exceeding case times in side view,

3 shows the same in plan, and FIG. 4 shows a line of sight for any fall times in cross section.

In Fig. 1, $ o is the rear sight as the pivot point of the visor alidade gog and the release alidade Kog'o. At the moment when the target Z appears in the freely selected preliminary sight KoK, the measuring time t begins by switching on a clockwork to determine the lead angle, e.g. B. t = 10 sec. To run.

During this measuring time, a horizontally guided visor alidade support point is manually rotated backwards in such a way that the target constantly appears in the sighting, so that after the measuring time has elapsed, support point M moves by the amount < B> MM '= - </B> S moved backwards and thereby the rotation of the Alidade KoK into the target (Z')

directed position Ko K ', where <I> ZZ' = </I> vt is the approach of the target to the horizontally moving aircraft in the measurement time t.

At the same time, a second alidade K0 K0 ', which can be rotated about the point Ko, is moved from its vertical starting position by a forward horizontal displacement of a large, d. H. a fall time T of the object to be thrown above or below the measurement time, d. H.

a fall time T1 below the horizontal guideway of 1f1 located Alhidaden- point No or. No 'during the duration of the measuring time t the visor alidade KO K is rotated against,

where the forward displacement of the point No BEZW. No 'after Ni respectively. Ni 'must be exactly the same as the backward shift of point M to 1Y1'.

If the further forward movement of the Alidadenstützpunktes N is now automatically blocked at the moment the measurement time t has elapsed, then the line Ko Ni or Ko Ni 'that line of sight which in the target horizon the position Z "or. Z," of the point of impact of the object thrown at that moment at a distance <I> v. </I> T or. <I> v. </I> Ti,

from the base Zo of the aircraft, but only if its horizontal speed would consistently match that of the aircraft. However, this is not the case, because as a result of the air resistance, the thrown body behind the constant force propelled aircraft around the.

       "Rücktriftwinkel" remains, whose tg through

respectively is given if <I> H </I> resp. <I> H '</I> the altitude at high resp. small fall time and r respectively. ri is that route

around which the real point of impact Z'1 respectively. Z '"behind the theoretical point of impact Z" respectively. Z1 "lies.

In order to enable a precise sighting, the front sight is moved as far as possible from the rear sight, i.e. from the alidaden base N'1. respectively N, after K "or K'1. For the starting position of the throwing alidade, in which the point of impact Z, by the return distance r with long fall times,

respectively Zir is around r1 for short fall times behind the base point Zo of the aircraft lying in the target horizon. At the moment of dropping, the visurallridade should be in the position KoZ'r resp. KoZ'ir, i.e. on the line of sight Ko Ni K ",

respectively Ko N ', 1 K "ri be. If the normal distance of the horizontal alidads support point guidance S' S" from the pivot point Ido is denoted by c, then with fall times T greater than the constant measurement time t result from the similarity of the triangles <I> Z "</I> and Ko No Ni the relationship ZoZ": NoNi = vT: SH: (Ch), furthermore:

         ZZ ': MM' = v.t: S = H: C; it follows: .

       v <I> T: v </I> t -. = (C-h) <I>: c, </I> from which the setting height results:
EMI0002.0132
This equation gives positive values for <I> T> t </I> and negative values for T C <I> t </I>, which is why in this latter case the horizontal guidance of the ruler support point N must be located below that of the ruler support point M.

The negative setting height is marked with hi and is also reflected
EMI0002.0145
On the basis of this theoretical basis, the structure of the device according to the invention shown in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 results, for example.

The segment-shaped frame of the device consists of a vertical rod 1a with a right angle connected horizontal rod 1b and a curved connecting part l ,. This frame is in the middle of the two hinge bearings 1.1,

1d 'mounted azimuthally pivotable on the not signed board wall of the aircraft and carries on an upper bearing block 1e a firmly retracted end pin 10, which carries a sight wire in a horizontally lying, rectangular frame 11 (FIG. 3), which is used to support a Visor ball 13 attached to him is used. A spindle 2 is mounted parallel to the horizontal frame part and carries a rotatable sleeve 28 with a right-hand external thread on its left smooth half.

while on its right (front) half 2b it is itself provided with a left-hand external thread. Between the two mating threads, this spindle 2 carries two spur gears 3a, 3b of the same size, the latter of which is firmly connected to the spindle and the former to the threaded sleeve 2 " parallel and axially displaceable mounted shaft 5 rotatable, but secured against axial displacement on the shaft, is arranged.

The latter is driven by a clockwork 18 with unchangeable Lich set measuring time and is mounted so that it can be longitudinally displaced in such a way that at the moment the measuring time expires, the shaft to the left as far as the stop of the collar 5a and thus also the gear 4 automatically disengages from the spur gear 3 ,, is pushed so that the latter can still be rotated by turning the grip disk 2 ″ on the left end of the spindle, while the threaded sleeve 2.

with the spur gear 3a attached to it, it also remains in engagement with the gearwheel 4, the rotational movement of which is interrupted at the moment the measuring time has elapsed. On the threaded sleeve 2a, the screw nut 6 secured against rotation sits with a vertical arm 6a, in the lower and upper ends 6'a and 6 "a of which a vertical screw spindle 7 is rotatably mounted.

A screw nut 8 "equipped with two horizontal, equiaxed trunnions 8" sits on this, guided against rotation along a height graduation <B> 61 </B>, whose height can be adjusted by turning a dial attached to the upper end of the spindle 7a and a vertical pointer 6'b takes place as a fine adjustment; while the coarse adjustment is made by means of the height scale 6b and a pointer (not shown) attached to the screw nut 8.

The two trunnions 8a of this nut 8 engage in the longitudinal slots 14b of the fork of the throwing alidade 14, which is rotatably mounted around the end pin 10_ and is guided along the circular arc 1 and the throwing visor 14 carries.

On the spindle thread 2b sits a non-twisting guided screw nut 9, which carries a horizon tal end pin 9a perpendicular to the spindle. This engages in the slot 15 ″ of the visor alidade 15, which is also mounted on the end pin 10 and carries the front sight front sight 15.

This alidade must be brought into its raised starting position by turning the hand disk 20 before the beginning of the measuring time, for which upward position the throwing alidade 14 is also pivoted by corresponding rotation of the clockwork 18 until the alidade stop 14R is at the corresponding angle of return by means of fine adjustment scale 17 "and coarse adjustment scale 1,

. Set spindle end of the adjusting screw 17 applies.

The operation of this drop visor vorriehtung is now very simple. By advancing the shaft 5 by means of the handle 5, the gear 4 is brought into engagement with 36, whereby the gear transmission 3a, 3b, 4 can be rotated by hand by means of the grip disk 2.

Now, by turning the grip disc <B> 7. </B>, the height position h or. hi the shield pin axis <B> 8. </B> according to the falling time of the object to be thrown, which is dependent on the flight altitude H, by means of the scales 6b,!: and the pointer 6'b, of which the former is set at lz. = 0, hi = 0 has the graduation <I> T = t, </I> i.e. fall time = measurement time.

Then the two alidades are brought into the starting positions by appropriate rotation of the mating threads 2a, 2b by means of the grip disk 2, so that the front sight 14, to 14'a and the front sight <B> 15, </B> to 15'o got.

Then the target is approached in a straight line for the purpose of determining the lead tangle and at the moment when it appears in the Kog (13-15'0), the clockwork is started by pressing button 5b, after which the target is set for the entire duration of the measurement must be kept in sight by operating the grip disc 2 ".

As a result, the front sight 15 rotates so far that its front sight 15'a reaches <B> 15, </B> and the drop front cover 14 so far that its front sight 14'a goes to 14a, whereby the drop sight is already set appears.

As soon as the measuring time has elapsed, the clockwork itself shifts the shaft 5 backwards and pulls the gear 4 out of the toothing 3b, so that the sighting grain position 14 is blocked. Now the target is flown to in a straight line until it appears in the drop sight 13-14a at which moment the drop must take place.

The drop visor front sight 14 can also be omitted if the drop shield 14 has a laterally protruding stop 14d against which a suitably attached stop 15d of the visor shield 15 can rest if the latter is rotated further backwards after the measurement time has elapsed Exactly so far that the front sight <B> 15 "</B> comes after 14. In this case it serves as a preliminary front sight during the measuring time, but as an ejection front sight after it has expired.
